They fit great & are super comfortable, but a little narrow at the base of the heel. These come with a pair of grey shoe laces, these are a set up! I repeat, DO NOT REMOVE THE PINK LACES, unless you have an extra hour dedicated to frustration and failure!! Literally took me an hour and my watch says I burned 2000 calories, my fingers are raw and blistered but these grey laces look 1000% better. I need a drink.

Great shoe for light to moderate trails. Recently did the Hanging Rock trail in NC. Trail is rated as moderate, 2.4 miles, with an elevation of 603ft. I found to the show to be comfortable and competent throughout the trail. The knit upper plays a large role in the comfort of the upper and was breathable given the warmer weather. I felt confident with the outsole but the weather was dry so I can't comment its ability on wet surfaces. Typically, I use the shoes for walking on lighter trails with relatively no changes in elevation and they have excelled in doing that. I chose the black color way as it can go with everything. The design is minimalistic which I really like. So one can go from the trail to the city streets for errands.

I don't know if I'm the right person to provide an opinion on size because my feet measure a 6.5 when standing on a foot scale but I need a 7.5 for most shoes because my toes are wide. I purchased this style based on the 3 reviews I saw - indeed they come with an extra pair of gray laces, but the pink ones look fine to me. I noticed on the Northface box that the size says 7.5 US and 38.5 EU - usually 7.5 maps just to a size 38. These did indeed seem roomy. But I must share that the overall shape is odd to me and the shoe slipped for me at the heel. I do have narrow heels. Still in search of the perfect "walking / athletic" shoe. Thanks always to Zappos that they will let me return these easily.

The shoes fit length and width pretty well, but the fit around the arch was tight, and the arch felt really high and pushed into my feet. Plus -- did they really have to make the logo so huge and white on the shoe???

I am a female who needs all black sneakers for work but I love North Face because they usually offer so much support to my back but these in particular were too soft and cushiony and did not offer the support I need. I'm on my feet, walking continually for at least 7 hours at a time and I need support. Also, the white label was too large; it doesn't need to be so large. Thank You.

Comfortable room in the toebox. Good support and firm heel grip. About a half size too long.

I liked the shoes, but felt a little large both in toe box and slipped on heal. I ordered a 9 and sometimes wear a 9.5, so I think they run pretty big.

I love TNF shoes--most comfortable on the planet. I was looking for a work shoe, which needs to be all black. I would love for the stitching on the logo to be black--then these shoes would be perfect. I have noticed that the sizing runs small (for me, at least), so once I figured out the right size, I was golden. I'll just blacken the logo and be on my way!

Great, sturdy and comfortable shoe. However the fabric doesn't hold up and started to come apart on the toe within 1-2 months of normal wear.
