Switched to these for running and circuit work out after injury from running on asphalt in Crossfit style shoes. These are bring me back to life.

I bought these shoes twice, for both my daughter and my father since they have both women and men versions. My daughter has a heavy bag at school and walks up and down stairs and sometimes through rain and dirt. My father does light hiking and many errands. I invested in these shoes for their safety and for their arch support. The quality is great and the comfort is there to be worn all day too. They both stand tall and walk stably, which I'm glad for. Good investment!

I work at hospital, I do own New balance shoes with soles which cost me 200 plus $. This shoes I paid three times less and most comfortable ever. I ended up buying 3 pairs.

I have been using northface shoes for ultra marathon run in for over a decade. I never blister, I never get black toe nails, and the shoes stand up to the extreme demands and degradation of the sport.

Great comfortable running shoe. Was disappointed that the shoes could only be purchased online instead of at The North Face Store.

I am a general contractor who does residential remodels, and I LOVE my North Face investments. Keeping my feet comfortable is incredibly important to me, because I'm on them all day, whether I'm kneeling /standing all day painting or installing trim and cabinetry, or climbing up and down a ladder. Usually once a year I buy a brand new pair of shoes, and put them through an excruciating amount of work. They hold up incredibly well, and they're my most comfortable pair of shoes.

These shoes have arch support so if you're into that you will like the support these offer. I don't need any so it feels a little uncomfortable, but I bought them anyway because they are so dang cool. Plus I took them out on the Wildwood tail and stomped around in them for a while and did not not notice those little lumps in my arches. They handle well on the trail and I especially enjoyed them when I hit the rocky part of trail in Lower Macleay park because the soles gave me a good blend of feel and protection underfoot against all the jagged rocks. While climbing steep ascents I did feel heel slippage but that may be due to the laces not being pulled tight enough in the right places. On pavement they handle a little better than traditional TR's but they are still not at home on the pavement/roads and I do not recommend long runs on this surface due to the pounding on your knees and other joints/not a cushy shoe even though it has extra foam.

I run 30 miles a week on pavement and trails. Bought my first pair in July and found it to be the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned. More comfortable than my $1000 Mephisto. I liked it so much that I decided to buy 2 more pairs so that I can rotate. Seems to be holding up well, really grips pavement which is important because I am clumsy.

The shoes are great for trail running. I have put over 50 miles on the shoes and have always comfortable. The grip on the shoe is amazing. Never had an issue on any terrain and mud does not cake up. I was impressed on the shoe that I strongly suggest my wife get them as well. She ended up getting them and is now a fan of the shoe.

Yes, this shoe may be lower volume than other TNF shoes, but if this doesn't work for you, don't go "running" over to Altra or Topo's because you think they're wider and will solve your issues. They (ALTRA) aren't wide - they're OBLIQUE or "Foot Shape" to allow for metatarsal head deflection that is a biproduct of running barefoot. If you're turned off by the fit of the Ampezzo, don't think a switching to a zero-drop shoe is apples-to-apples. Thinking you can simply swap from a a 10/12mm drop shoe to zero and not changing your regimen - just to obtain satisfactory width - will land you a posterior injury faster than you can say " wow, at least no blisters". This shoe is fantastic for someone seeking a neutral, mild proprioception, traditionally dropped shoe. If it doesn't fit you, that's OK - go get fit into something that does, but don't flame this shoe ...and YES, this is addressing the bogus 2-star review above. Nobody should be afraid of this because some guy thought it was too narrow.

These are great shoes for the gym or running on pavement. They're comfortable and look nice. They are not waterproof or rugged enough for off road activities though.
