I love this tote but have noticed that the zipper on the front pocket often sticks. In fact I could not close it after the very first opening. It's very finicky.
Also, was disappointed that the gray color was a bit darker than the matching suitcase.

Brief has a lot of compartments and room for numerous items, well designed. Holds two of my laptops and several narrow binders. Always been a fan of Travelpro and never had any issues with their products.

Needed a brief that was as minimal as possible but still delivered efficient design to manage today's technology and use classy design and materials. Nicely done!

This suitcase is my perfect travel companion. As a business sales executive, I needed a stylish, slim and classic business brief for my travels and customer meetings. This brief beats it all and I am loving my travel because of this!

I really like my briefcase: quality craftsmanship and style. For the most part, it is well designed and efficient, but for me there is one glaring problem: there is no space for anything thicker than an inch or so. Let me explain.
There are three main compartments. At the back compartment there are two pockets, one for a laptop and one for a tablet or the like. Great! There could be a strap for the laptop but no problem.
The front compartment has lots of pockets for various things. Great!
The middle compartment is a good size in thickness, but it is cut in half by yet another padded pocket. This means that I can get two thin books in, one in the pocket and one out. But what if I have one thicker book? Or a power adapter for my laptop? And assuming I use the two large pockets, there is even less room. Why do we need two padded pockets for a laptop I am not sure anyone carries around two. So my strong recommendation is to lose the padded pocket in the center main compartment. This is why I docked a star. (fyi, I am a professor at a university, but I think others might also carry books.)
Other minor issues.
The front compartment zippers from the front. This means for righthanded people who carry this on the right side, if they leave it open the open side is in the back, which makes it more vulnerable to losing stuff.
Otherwise, a good product and I am pleased. But then I am a TravelPro person, with luggage and a backpack.

4.5 stars. Versatile brief. Replacing 4.5 yr old similar brief. This one looks as well made as the one I'm replacing, with the added benefit of metal zippers. The old one had plastic, the failure of which was it's ultimate demise. Two main compartments allow for personal/business separation. I do wish the two main and one additional compartments opened a bit wider, but then, my last one did, and when forgetting to zip it up, I spread all my stuff on the floor several times - much less likely with this one.

I am replacing a similar briefcase after ~2+ million miles of travel and daily use for at least 15 years. Not an emergency to replace however didn't want to have an emergency.
The new case is a bit tight and will hopefully loosen. I also purchased another that is a bit larger but not TravelPro. The equipment required for operating laptop and charging phone takes up space and is causing the tightness.
My laptop is a Dell XPS13 and I also need to carry 2 inches of various files.
The jury is still out if I like.

This bag is gorgeous and I love the organization. If you like to be organized then the pockets will be a plus, but it does create some bulk, so I can understand why some reviews dislike that. However, as much as I LOVE this bag, the front main zipper has only one zipper instead of two, so you have to zip it across three sides or leave the pocket part open. My car keys keep falling out so for the first time in my life I have used the key clip these bags have. As much as I love this bag, the lack of a double zipper on such a commonly used zipper is starting to drive me insane. If this is not an issue for you, this is an AMAZING bag. If you have a lot of little things you put in your briefcase, watch out.

Have some issues with this bag. Very well constructed and light. The shoulder strap is set up in a way that makes it inconvenient and sometimes uncomfortable. No exterior looks for hanging anything like headphones or water bottles etc. The front zip area for pens, phone etc only has one zipper, so to access anything you need, you need to unzip the entire section. That means you really need to lay the bag flat to access it without dumping pout any loose items. I was looking to downsize from a backpack, but this is a little to small for my needs.

Don't like the way the strap hooks. Very narrow . Like it better on my old bag, with the rings on the ends of the bag.

Build quality & styling are very good. But...there is a big but.. Internals have no space after keeping the laptop, charger, mouse etc for keeping one or 2 things extra like a file or even smaller things like a spectacle case.
Front pockets have tendency of bulging out even after keeping only few things. Front heavy or have a tendency of falling towards the front.
Regret spending money as I'm based in India and can not even get it changed with the bigger model/ expandable one..

This is a great looking bag but there are so many pockets and clutter that there's no room to pack anything. You can probably put a thin laptop or iPad in it and a note pad, but that's about it. Forget any bulky items like chargers. Once things start to get tight the zippers don't work. It's really a shame because this is a quality bag.
