I got WW double wide. The footbed is narrow, and my toes felt squeezed. It's made for thick feet, not wide feet.

I was in love with SAS, many years ago in my mid-forties. I walked to work in a cute, super comfy low cut oxford, which isn't made anymore. Eventually, I wore only athletic shoes & hikers. Recently, with new foot issues, I decided to try this cute SAS style. But it was so disappointing. The leather is beautiful, but the rest is below standard, in my opinion... especially for the price. 1) The outsole is very slippery feeling, doesn't grip at all. 2) The insole doesn't even have a heel cup! 3) The insole is cut short all around, so you feel a rather sharp edge where the insole doesn't fully meet up with the shoe insides. 4) There is an unavoidable hard lump under the insole, built into the shoe base, that hurts at the outside of the heels. I couldn't believe that was there. I guess these will work for some people, but I have much cheaper brands that feel better.

Love the style of the sneaker but toes too narrow and heels much too loose. I have been wearing free time walking shoes for a long while but have had problems since, I believe, they are made out of the country.

The shoe is way too long for my foot. I ordered the size that fit in another style of shoe when I was in the store. I thought the sizing would be consistent across SAS brand shoes. The shoe is lovely. But not for me. I would recommend SAS shoes to a friend, but only if they could try the shoe on in a store.

Like walking on a block of wood. It was so hard and unforgiving even under the removable cushion. I returned them.

Cant answer the question about arch support as I always wear my own orthotics. This is the second pair of SAS shoes that I have tried where the heel is too big. Heel flops when I walk. Too bad. I really like them otherwise. Look very well made.

WOW-this is the first SAS that I really did not like. Not only did not fit, it was clunky...and I wear SAS. Too bad. Thank you Zappos for letting me take a shot a these.

There was just too much room in the shoe to fit my needs. I returned them and bought Tour Mesh in black instead.

Extra wide is not truly wide. The shoes have narrow footbeds and soles so my feet were spilling over the sides. These are meant for some with thick feet, not wide feet.

I returned these because they were a bulkier style than I wanted. They did fit well and were true to size.

I was very disappointed with these shoes. I ordered the D width and the sides are so much wider than the platform. The toe is pointed and it doesn't look like that in the picture. I saw these in a narrower width and they were much more in proportion. They had a very strong alcohol smell. They don't look or feel like SAS. Not worth the money.

I had to send these back as they rubbed my ankle bone. That being said, I own 6 pr of SAS flats and 7 pair of SAS sandals. Love SAS.

I was looking for a supportive walking shoe. I wear orthotics and ordered a 6.5, my regular size, but these shoes were not a comfortable fit for me. The length was fine except the toe box was too narrow, yet quite roomy in height, where I did not need the extra space.

Toe box far too narrow. Why make wide shoes with pointed toes?

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
I started wearing these shoes a few weeks ago. Each day I wear them, they are less comfortable. They feel wider each day, like my wearing them has stretched them out. Also even though it looks like they might have good arch support, they do not. I walk about 7/8 of a mile every day, and these are the most uncomfortable gyms I've ever had. Can you suggest another brand/type for me? I just need comfortable walking shoes in a size 11 narrow. Thanks very much.

I have worn SAS flats for work for years. They fit great and are very comfortable. So, I decided to try these shoes. I'm sorry to say they fit nothing like the flats I've been wearing. The insole is very hard and stiff, with no padding and almost no arch support. The shoes are also stiff and uncomfortable. Although I ordered the shoes in narrow, like I usually do, they were very wide. I had to pull the laces as tight as I could and they were still too wide. Unfortunately, they aren't close to the quality of the SAS shoes I'm used to, so I returned them.

This is the second pair I bought and I like them a lot in the right size but I will not purchase from SAS again because I returned the first pair I bought earlier. It was not true to size 7 1/2. I wore for one day returned them with almost no wear but SAS would not issue a refund or credit. The returned pair was sent back to me and I gave it to a homeless person that wears a size 8. SAS once a proud and honorable brand. Too bad.
