I have to say I love this shoe, I went down a half size and it fits really well, is extremely comfortable and makes me feel I could walk for miles. But, it's not waterproof, I'm not sure if it's worn out over time but when I walk through wet grass my feet get wet. I actually have two pairs and the same problem in both. I'll try and spray them. I have seen someone else had this issue and Arc'teryx has penetrated the water has come over the top - that's not the case for me the water in penetrating the toe area, everywhere else stays dry

As others have said they are unfortunately not waterproof even though they are Gore-Tex and are advertised as "guaranteed to keep your feet dry." This was pretty disappointing due to how they're advertised and the fact I've only warn them a handful of times. I've filled out a Product Service Request Form and am just waiting to hear back. My fingers are crossed that they will be able to rectify the situation. I've heard good things about their customer service. They are however comfortable and didn't require any breaking. And I like that they don't look like typical light hikers. If you are ordering, I suggest you size down a half size.

Quite a stiff sole which is good for more rocky areas, but they are not waterproof. Even damp dewy grass in the mornings is enough to soak my socks. I'm really disappointed

I bought these shoes because I live in Norway and it tends to rain here a lot, even in the summer. I brought them for 10 day backpacking trip through Arctic and they are not waterproof! My feet got damp already on the first day of my trip after walking for a couple hours in the rain. It's no pleasure when you sleep in the tent and the next day you have to wear same damp shoes They look nice, they have a good grip (though more comfort walking on trails than asphalt) but are definitely not waterproof!

Surprising how cheap they look given the name and price. The rubber top looks terrible when bent in the normal walking stance. They look much better in the picture. I returned .
