Breathable, comfortable, and lightweight.
Also, the back strap has a detachable clip, so the hat can be hung from a belt, belt loop, or pack strap.
The orange color is great, but please add other colors (yellow, red, brown).

I love this hat, it's great in warm temperatures because it's so lightweight and thin, yet keeps my scalp protected from UV rays.
I really like the fact the brim is plastic and pre-formed, it's really sleek and comfortable. The one thing I will say is that the elastic that grips to your head is a little...ruffled? So if you've worn it for hours and you take it off, you've got this pattern imprinted on your head, not a deal breaker, but can cause some discomfort if your skin is sensitive to direct pressure.
No biggie for me though, I use this hat mainly when I'm driving or when it's super sunny out.

I was looking for a hiking/trail running cap without the usual tight fit, when I first received this hat I was surprised to find that this cap was very spacious and lightweight. Easily the most comfortable cap in my closet, and sleek enough to wear casually around town.

Just what I was looking for, this is just perfect and was everything on my checklist when buying a hat. A super comfortable adjustable fit, just enough stretch and molds to my head effortlessly. On top of it all it has UPF 50+, which is a must for me.

A few years back i bought the arcteryx accelero cap which i think it was superior to this design. Nevertheless, the Elaho is the closest to the accelero however, much lighter. Very nice colors. The material is very breathable. Happy with the performance so far. I would have liked the brim to be a bit more thick. It is a bit thin but not a deal breaker. Bought it on every color and happy with my purchase

Like the fabric, love the buckle. The adjustable strap at the back is manageable 90% of the time, I can tuck the excess into the opening at the headband, but sometimes it comes untucked and tickles the back of my neck.
I don't like that the elastic headband gets "bacon-y" and leaves wave indents in my forehead.
I like that this hat sheds water well. It also is soft and has no shape to the forehead to be lost when laundering it. It's fairly breathable and looks great. The curve of the brim is okay, but the corners tend to poke my forehead a little.

As a hat in general, this is my most favourite. The shape is very flattering and the material is great for running, hiking, whatever. My only complain is it runs a bit big (I AM a petite woman and this is a unisex hat). I wish it came in S/M and L/XL instead. I have to put the hat as snug as it will go to stay secure on my head which causes all the material in the back half of the head to pucker and it looks weird. I otherwise love it so much I just wear it on runs anyway but I would be thrilled if it came just a little smaller.

This is a fine hat, but I was really hoping it was something else. I absolutely love a hat that Arcteryx used to make a few years ago, the Escapa. That hat has a brim that is actually bendable--the Elaho's brim is flexible, but it has real structure, making it much tougher to stick into my pocket or pack down. The Escapa's brim can be basically rolled into a ball. No one else makes something like that, which is why I was hoping Arcteryx was taking up the mantle again and took a chance on this. Unfortunately, this is a lot like many other hats on the market already. A fine hat, it's light and comfy, but nothing special compared to what a lot of other companies already make.

Sleek, light, stylish . I love Nike feather light hats . However I had to change them for Arc’teryx to fit my head . They had me at the adjustable back. The enigma color was icing on the cake. Loved it so much I got one for my dear sister. Thank you Zappos for the outstanding customer service and delivery . Truly humbling . Have been your loyal customer for 12 years and counting.

Nice hat! Collapsable which will be nice for hiking and work this summer. Colour (Pipe Dream) is a lot darker than I thought it was but still an okay yellow! The grey elastic band on the inside is a little worry-some as I'm not sure how much it will last but oh well! Great hat and will hopefully last long

Needs better quality control, the cap I received has many loose or unfinished threads.
I found the quantum color under brim adds glare.

bought this as a replacement for the now discontinued escapa hat. It works great and is easy to have on (i rarely take my hats off). I wear it hiking, scrambling and around town all the time
This hat is easy to recommend

I like this hat just as much as everyone else, and am similarly disappointed in the headband. Initially I had to stop wearing the hat due to the wrinkled band that was causing irritation and discomfort.
Eventually, I was actually able to fix this issue by cutting and removing the front portion of the headband. While this was tedious to achieve, it made the hat wearable again and just as comfortable as when I first bought it.
This will have to be my solution until Arc fixes the materials being used on the hat.

The elastic sweatband will wrinkle into bacon at some point, sooner than you expect.
The wrinkles will leave marks on your forehead and cause the outside shape of the hat to deform/spread out to accommodate the wrinkles.
This is my second Elaho and they both did the same thing.

Arcteryx, would you please fix this product. It's been years and you still sell this defective product. Call me dumb, but I've owned three of these and every one has the same problem.

Like everyone else has mentioned, the headband is absolutely terrible. After 1 hike the headband got very wrinkled and hard, after washing it softens up a little but the second sweat hits the band it's back to being crispy and uncomfortable. If the headband were fixed this would be the perfect lightweight hat.

Seriously, the fit, size, shape, and material of this hat are perfect, but the headband bacons after just 7 days of use, and the headband material is rough and unpleasant.
Please re-release this hat with a new headband and maybe change the adjustment strap for a less slippery material so it doesn't loosen as easily on its own!

I bought this three months ago but regret my purchase. Within a few weeks the portion of the headband that rests against my forehead had started to lose it's shape and become wavy like a piece of bacon. It now leaves indents on my forehead if I wear it for more than 15 minutes. This is a shame because I've received a lot of compliments on the hat's style. I would not recommend this hat until the headband is updated.

This is my favorite hat I've ever owned, and at the same time the worst Arc'teryx product I've ever owned. I've owned four (4!) of these hatsbecause of losing them or simply having to replace them due to the 'wearing out' as I'm about to describeand all of them eventually meet the same fate of having the sweatband distort / wrinkle to the point of causing discomfort / minor pain against the forehead when wearing them. The eventual distortion leaves strong indentation marks that last at least an hour after wearing them and makes the hat very uncomfortable to wear, even when sized slightly looser than originally worn (can be blown off from an average gust of wind).
I have reported this issue to Arc'teryx twice, and buy every new version when it comes out because I love the hat for many reason (fit, weight, breathability, style, color, packability, fits under a helmet, etc) but so far every single one I've owned warps to becoming unwearable within 2-4 months of regular use. I feel like this is just unacceptable for an Arc'teryx product and also just plain wasteful. I shouldn't have to be throwing out hats because of poor material spec'ing from a brand like this. Please fix this issue and make it known so people can buy these hats with confidence because they are awesome!
