Seems great. Impressively light. Brim is floppy but I like that.
I am concerned about washing it. Spot clean only? It IS a hiking hat and I'm going to sweat in it. So from what I understand, it's gonna stink but I'm not gonna be able to wash it? I guess I won't wear it hiking. Seems kinda silly but whatever.

I own a couple of these and I do really like them. Nice and light and for me the protection is perfect. I like the soft brim and it is is right length for me. Also being light it is mostly cool to wear. Hard to get the good colours so buy early in the season. I have the L-XL and it fits nicely, as I like it not too snug but the one thing I would say is that it needs an adjustable chin strap and it would be perfect. I have to be careful in any wind and I'm afraid the M would be too snug most of the time.

Super packable and hard to not justify taking. The angle of the brim doesn't provide much coverage. Especially when combined with the brim length. This doesn't replace sunscreen everywhere but great for those forgetful days or for extra coverage.

I ware S/M Flexfit hats. I have the first version of the Sinsolo Hat in S/M and it fits perfectly, the newly redesigned version is too snug fitting. The new S/M only fights a petite head - small woman head or a kids. Had to give the new Gray one to my girlfriend. Bummer :(

Having been used to baseball caps, this hat does a great job in sun protection for my aging ears. I have a Tilley which is nice for cooler weather (makes my head sweat in warmer temperatures). The Sinsolo is another terrific Arc'teryx product doing what it is intended to do - light weight, folds up into your pocket and fits well.

I have the sinsola in desert salt, and I was extremely excited to get my hands on it as it's a great looking hat that performs well. I was dismayed to see that the hat can't be washing in a machine, nor dry cleaned. When I called and asked, the customer service suggested 'wiping with a damp cloth'. Hugely impractical to clean a sweaty hat with dirt stains.

Im a big fan of bucket hats in general and added the offlime version of this hat to my collection. I like a appearance, material, and overall feel off the hat but the design could use some adjustments. For me personally, the depth is too much where it sits too low down on your forehead if worn tight, alongside with the downward angle of the brim can slightly obscure your vision. I would suggesting a slightly more shallow bucket and more flared brim for future iterations before recommending to other people

My normal hat size is 6 7/8, which equates to 55cm. The S/M in this hat is supposed to fit 55 to 57cm heads, so I thought I'd be fine. Wrong--the thing is way too large and it will easily blow off if there is any wind. Other than that, I love it.

As with all Arc'teryx pieces, the craftsmanship and materials are top notch. The hat is extremely soft and packable. I can fold it and fit it inside my jeans pocket. So, if I am low on space, this is my go to hat for sunny locales.
It wicks sweat like nothing I have seen before and is very soft and pleasant on your skin. It helps if your head is already sunburnt or forehead has a rash.
Now, there are also significant drawbacks that precludes me from recommending it. First and foremost, the sizing is very awkward to me. My head circumference falls right between the two available sizes. So, based on the reviews here, I chose Large. Hat feels loose, and since there's no chinstrap, medium gust of wind sends it flying off my head. I'm tired of holding the top of my head all the time.
Second issue are care instructions. It says "Surface Clean Only". I sat by the bonfire and it now smells like a barbeque pit. There is no way to get rid of the smell without washing it completely.

Love the hat until i wash it in cold water and hang dry, now the brim lost its strength also the fabric now has a lot of creases so it is now flappy and wrinkle.
