I buy a pair of the universal about every 10 years and get fashion sandals in between. This is the first time I bought a pair online instead of in person. I was surprised and disappointed in the material change concerning the bottom part of the shoe. In all fairness it could wear better or be just as reliable when climbing around Garden of the Gods. I would keep them to test them out but they were toonarrowdespite all reviews saying they ran big. I wear a regular 9 and ordered a 9. They just fit in length but were too narrow. Love the colors/design of the rest of the shoe.

These are good for walking in water or climbing. I use them for water activities. My original pair of Teva's lasted for a long time BUT the soles were thicker. Only time will tell if these thin soled shoes will last as long.

I expected the bottom to be more foot friendly. When I first put them on it was uncomfortable stepping on the rubber and the straps seemed to rub against my little toe. Since my friends totally LOVE Tevas I decided to try wearing them to see if I could adjust. They don't seem comfortable when I first put them on, but I realized today that I had forgotten about them while I was wearing them, so I guess they have become comfortable, after all. However, I would have passed on them if I had tried them on in a store.

I like these sandals but the straps don't completely cover the Velcro so when crossing your feet the shoes stick together. My top strap is fraying already where I have caught it on the Velcro several times.

For the most part, I like them, but one issue I came across was that the adjustable straps seem to be a bit short, and I have small, narrow feet as it is, so this isn't usually a problem. I wore the Tevas with wool socks on a chilly day and while wearing the combo, I experienced unpleasant tearing and catching of the wool when I crossed my feet because the sock on one foot would get stuck to the velcro on the other foot, and it only happened because the straps were too short and a lot of velcro was exposed! I've done this with other tevas and didn't have this problem. Clearly, I am a bit disappointed, because I really love the sock and sandal style, but I like them otherwise.

Now I remember my first TEVA. It held up okay but not the years/millennia of my latest pair. I'm not sure my latest pair is still for sale and if it is, I can't afford it. My new ones will be used carefully; my old ones will have to continue their hard work with a bit of stitching & glue.

I replaced an older pair of Tevas that I have worn for about ten years. So obviously the brand has proven durable. The heel strap on the new pair is lower and doesn't feel snug unless the strap over my foot is too tight. I dislike the textured material covering the inside of the sandal. It irritates the soles of my feet. I hope I'll get used to these sandals--I really want to like them.

It is a beautiful sandal, love the leather which I wanted for a long time. My old pair of Teva's have been wearing out for a while, so I bought these. My disappointment is that the sole of the shoe is different from my old pair, which was black plastic, this is beige leather and my foot slips down toward the front of the shoe bed when I walk, even if I tighten the straps a lot. Disappointing.

My foot slips backward a bit with every step. The shoe is the right size, but since there is no adjustment on the heel strap I can't fix this issue.

Disappointed they weren't like my original Tevas of 30 years ago. Wish I could have just had new straps made for them! These are ok, not nearly as comfortable. The bottoms probably won't last as long as the old ones either. But they'll do for now.

A little disappointed in how flat this sandal is. I had a prior pair that provided good arch support and was hoping to replace it.

I wear the sandal as casual wear when I do not have a lot of walking to do or when walking on level surfaces. It does not have enough arch or support for wearing for long walks.
It seems a little stiff, but perhaps it will soften up over time.
I found the sole to be flatter than I expected.
I like the color very much.
The style is casual and cute.
The velcro enclosures seem quite strong and should hold up over time.
All in all I like these shoes.

I have always used your shoes to kayak and some hiking / walking on the same trip. Now the base is not rugged enough and so it is slippery. very sad.

The strap across the toes is pretty short, so the pretty band only goes halfway across and makes them look cheap, which they were not. I was disappointed.

I think it can be a great sandal for others, but the arch was too high and it was uncomfortable.

I usually use my Teva`s when im in the water. Whether it fly fishing or hiking in Zions. The sandals are great in the water and have never hurt my feet. The straps seem to long and i have an inch hanging off because i dont have fat feet. plus the Velcro on straps only go so far.

I use my tevas mostly for the water. Fishing in small streams and even big rivers. The bottom of the sandals are great and comfortable and the whole sandal does great in the water. The one thing I don't like is the sizing of them. The toe piece is a little longer than expected and the straps are too long with now way to shorten them. The straps just dangle and it looks bad.

Every year I purchase a new pair of Mush flip-flops and this year decided to get the original sandal. I was expecting the same soft nylon and base as the mush. The original is much stiffer, and even has a rough texture on the sole that at first I thought I wouldn't be able to handle. I decided to just keep them, and try to get used to the new style. They were great on the boat because they are attached to my foot and are more secure. It will be a long time of wearing them though that I would trust a walk or hike in these though. I wore them around the yard the other day and the front strap rubs on the big toe and pinky toe. Hoping I can build some resistance, because I love the look and security of these!

I've loved Tevas since their inception. They've gone through some changes. Some good, some not so good. I remember the pair that made my feet stink SO bad! They've always been sturdy and a good value. Most recently I purchased one of the simple, original designs to find it was a full size too large so had to return them. The flip flops, however, were true to size and I'm keeping them. I've fiddled around with other popular sandals and always head back to Teva.

Did not care for the footbed of this sandal. I am used to the more supportive Tevas, this one seems flat and the nubbiness of the material was uncomfortable to me. I bought these because of the design on the material, which was really attractive, but the comfort of the shoe was not there for me

These work great for my inteded purposes. I take my dog to the lake a few times a week to go swimming. I did not care for the way they felt while trying to wear them for a full day. I have a different pair of Tivas' for that.
But they are great for the beach.

The Hurricane was my go-to shoe for many years. It was nothing short of perfect and was worn year-round with or without socks. Over the years, the shoe has become wider with less padding and narrower straps which creates an unstable, unsafe fit for someone with narrow feet. I have had four pairs with heavy, comfortable wear. Last year I tried a size 9 because a previous 10 was a little too big lengthwise. It caused blisters and was not wearable. Ever hopeful, I tried another size 10 this year and there did not seem to be any rubbing but the straps did not securely hold my feet. I returned them. My daughter still has an old style Hurricane and I envy the fit, the straps, and the narrower width of the footbed. Outdoor sandals in narrow are difficult to find. I will continue to hope for Teva to return to their old Hurricane style.
