Light, versatile and durable shoe. Has the MERRELL look and quality. Supremely with no socks in Spring and Summer with no socks required.

I find these Merrell sandals uncomfortable after a couple of hrs of standing. I do art shows that requires me to be on my feet for 10+ hrs at a time. Initially they feel OK but over time my feet start to hurt. I believe it's the sole material...it's hard. I've had numerous similar Keen sandals that I've worn so thin that I can feel small stones thru the soles thus time to replace. It may be a tradeoff between companies...comfort vs longevity. I'm 6'3 & 215 lbs. I can wear work boots for 18 hrs with no issue so I figure it's the quality of the soles.

I've just bought the Merrell All Out Blaze Sieve on 20th Oct. 2018. First use was just walk around camp area on concrete pavement which has some dirt on the surfaces. I slipped and nearly fell. Then I went light hiking and crossed some creeks. This time the shoes work quite okay.
Second use was on 27th October. This time on uphill terrain and I walked with high awareness. The shoes are not suitable for this uphill terrain really. I slipped down once.
My personal conclusion is that. I will use these shoes just for light hiking, flat and easy terrain, and creek crossing.

Disappointed in the quality. Frustrated by Multiple little defects. The nylon shoe lace loops would wear and snap. No work around for lacing shoes so just had to live with asymmetrical lacing. The stitching on both shoes frayed at the point where the leather pierce covering toe area is sewn onto the rest of the shoe. While I am active I have a desk job and live in a temperate climate. Only had these shoes for a couple years.
Had another brand of hiking boots when I lived in the dessert and was hiking a lot that lasted over ten years. Only reason I replaced them was because the soles were almost worn off. maybe my expectations aren't realistic.

I normally love Merrells, but I just bought a pair of these 8 days ago and the stitching is already coming out of them in several places! I've only worn them around the house or as I'm going about my daily routine so they haven't even see a trail yet. They're phenomenally comfortable shoes (as most Merrells are), but the quality really surprises me.

Love the shoe, the concept the feel....with 1 major exception....needs a better arch support. Have been looking forward to this style of Merrell for a long time...every Blaze has the arch support with the exception of the sleeve...why?
