These shoes are really adorable. I love the look of them in general and how they look on other people, but did not prefer them on me. The tongue is super stiff as well, and although I think they would eventually soften up with wear, I don’t feel like I should have to work so hard to make shoes comfortable- they should feel good out of the box. The tongue left a red line on my ankle when I wore them around the house. But for fit, I am consistently a US size 7 and Euro size 37, so I ordered the 37 and they fit perfectly.

Love these. Hate the tongue. The tongue on these shoes *looks* cool. But it’s horrible. It’s stiff, and cuts the front of my leg. Third lair I’ve owned and this stupid long tongue is a total PIA. Wish they would shorten it, or make it out of softer material.

Shoes are cute, comfortable, but the tongue is really uncomfortable. Had to return TWICE, first because zappos sent me the wrong number, second ordered my true size and they were HUGE. I had to size 1 down, I usually wear 8 but had to get the 7 and they fit perfectly. I read some reviews saying it was TTS but it did not work for me.

Super cute but definitely big. I’m a 7 or 7 1/2 but got 6 based on others reviews & fit. The tongue as other reviewers said is long. Oddly & uncomfortably long which is a bummer because they are cute. Don’t know if wearable though with the tongue.

I'm so glad I bought these incredibly stylish Vejas! Having said that, I'm really glad that I read the reviews prior to ordering. Yes, they absolutely run large. I ordinarily wear a size 6, but ordered the size 5 which fit perfectly. The comments about the stiffness of the tongue digging into the ankle are also true; however, I didn't find it to be that bad at all. Service from Zappos was prompt and perfect!

Such a cute fashion sneaker. Wear them all the time. My one complaint is the tongue (along with everyone else). It’s way too long and cuts into ankle. I twist the tongue down to the side after lacing and it definitely helps and still looks great!

These are more orthopedic-looking than I expected. They also run really large, so though I was super-excited to get these, they were a let-down in person. Such a bummer!

cute trendy leather shoe. I sized down a full size and it fit perfectly. The lounge of the shoe is really stiff and dig's into my ankle, but I'm hoping that will get better!

Fit runs large. Had to return and size down one size.

The tongue of the shoe was like cardboard and felt like it was going to slice my ankle, so much so that it was a dealbreaker.

Jumping on the Veja bandwagon...these shoes are the absolute cutest of the white sneaker trend. I love them. Unfortunately, they are the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever purchased. I tried wearing them with thick, thick socks to break them in and they just do not feel wearable. The shoe is stiff and made my feet go numb. The sizing does not seem to run half a size too large as reviewers indicate (in my experience). Too bad I tried breaking them in because now I can't return them. Order with caution and I would recommend definitely ordering your true size.

Super stylish but poorly designed. The tongue is double long and stiff and pokes you in the front of your ankle. I had a mark from the stupid long tongue from walking around in the house before even leaving. Why oh why would they design them like that? I threw away the box so am going to try and get a shoe repair to cut the tongue back so that I can wear them.

I love the style of these but their sizing is way off. Per previous reviews I ordered both size 36 (US 5) & 37 (US 6). For the record I am a true US 6.5. The 36’s were a tad small and the 37’s were huge. In my opinion the 36 fits more like US 6 and the 37’s like US 7. Unfortunately I’m returning both because at this price, they should fit perfect. So bummed.

I was so excited to get this shoe, but unfortunately the tongue is too long and stiff, and it rubbed uncomfortably on the front of my ankle/top of my foot. Maybe it would soften or bend with use, but I wasn't going to take that chance.

So the fact that there are no half sizes is really annoying. I'm usually an 8.5. The Veja in an 8 was too big, so I tried a 7 which is usually unthinkable. I need a 7.5 which does not exist. So I kept the 7, they're really small but doable b/c they're cute and I just wear a tiny sock.

Very cute and stylish shoes. The biggest issue with these is how stiff they are. They are not the shoes that are comfortable off the bat. They will need to be broken in or you can use a shoe stretcher to break it in faster. I got size 39 which fits well for me, I normally wear a size 8.5 in most shoes. The other problem with these shoes is how long and stiff the tongue is. When I wear it a long time it rubs and hurts. I am sure over time, it will soften up or I will get use to it. I am on the fence if I want to keep or return these shoes. I love the way they look but it's so hard to spend $150 on uncomfortable shoes. I might tough it out and hope it gets better over time.

Love the look of these sneakers, but as other reviewers have stated the leather is quite stiff and was quite uncomfortable in some areas around my ankle on my first day of wearing them. I decided against sending them back after trying them on hoping they will wear in nicely... to be determined.

True to European sizing. Leather was quite hard out of the box, hoping is loosens up over time.

love the look but after a few times wearing them i started getting a pain on the ball of my feet. just not enough support and maybe too wide as they just don't fit properly.

I liked the look of the all-white sneakers and was excited to support a sustainable company but they just didn't work for me. They were so stiff and heavy. I couldn't imagine the torturous process of breaking them in and ended up sending them back.

I really wanted to like these. They felt like a cool, new alternative for my Stan Smith's which are starting to look old. But the fit was really off for me, and on top of that they were horribly stiff and uncomfortable. Really loved the look but just knew I'd hate wearing them (at least until they "broke in"). I'm over uncomfortable shoes, especially when it comes to sneakers. I returned them.

Okay... so... I am torn. These shoes are INSANELY cute. Like woahhhh. However I have SURVIVED wearing them four times. I say survived because every second wearing them made me feel like I wanted to cut my own feet off at the ankles to get some reprieve from the pain. I can only compare it it walking in its socks full of rocks. I really don’t understand show anyone could possibly wear these shoes. Thennnnn... I look down and I’m like ohhhh they are saaa pretty? so... if mind numbing pain doesn’t bother you... buy these shoes. I’m not returning them. Which makes me feel less of myself. But then the shoes make me feel better so really it’s all a wash.

The tongue of the shoes cuts right above my ankle, making the shoe beyond uncomfortable and impractical to wear. Unfortunately I will be sending these back.
