I have sworn by Chaco's flip flops for years, all year round, inside as slippers and outside, even with socks. I repaired the toe attachment on my leather ones twice. I wear them till they're falling apart. The past 3 pairs were exactly what my feet wanted. Both these styles do not feel like they have the arch in the right place. Dismayed and disappointed. I've been waiting for Chaco's to make a shoe with the same arch support but so far they have not succeeded, now what has changed with the footbed in their flip flops? Major bummer. Birkenstocks and Mephistos are too hard. Earthies are okay for short periods. Dansko doesn't have what the Chaco's had support wise and can be clunky heavy. Keens don't work either. Open to suggestions. Zappos is great with their returns and shipping.

I love these sandals. I have high arches, and have sworn by Chacos for years, as they’re the only sandals that I can walk in all day without my arches hurting or aggravating my plantar fasciitis. They are not squishy/cushy, and they are not meant to be. These are outdoor-capable, light-hiking-approved, flip flops. Chaco’s production (the fit, specifically) started faltering a bit after they were bought them out. The straps were floppy, arch support in the wrong spot for women (I suspect they tried cheaping out and just running men’s footbeds across the board), they were basically a disaster for a couple years. The Playa Pro line seemed to have reversed that damaged. These are my beloved Chacos again, and I’m so, so happy. Women’s fit and arch placement on point, good support, nice, stable straps (no toe gripping while walking needed). Love them.

These had very little cushion. Also, the footbed stuck out about an inch above my toes, which are already average/long.
