I ordered these shoes in an 11 extra wide. I could not fit into these shoes as they eere too marrow. In the past i have gone to Florsheim stores to try and buy. As an internet purchase it did not work. I will be returning them . Hopefully this will go smooth.

Whoever is responsible for the Sizing of shoes at Florsheim should be Fired immediately. My Casey Wingtip 10 3E which is truly wide and fits fine. However, I have recently received a Great Lakes Slip On 10 XW, which is much more narrow. And worse, the documentation on the Great Lakes web page says that the 10W is the equivalent of 3E . Florsheim workers have a simple job -- regardless of where the shoes originate, measure them and assign a common Sizing specification to all shoes that Florsheim sells -- or be Fired. Whoever is responsible for this Sizing error must be Fired immediately. Who is the Florsheim VP of Customer Service and VP of Merchandising ?

Sole complete detached after a few wears. Basically a brand new shoe I'm throwing out. Sad because I wear Florsheim faithfully.

The Great Lakes shoes , that , I purchased was a nice shoe to look at. But , the shoe was sooooo narrow , that , I could not place the shoe on my foot. My shoe size is 12W . I have been a customer of Florsheim for many years and never had any bad things to say about any of their products . They were always true to size and width . But , recently , I bought several different pairs of footwear and have found , that , all of them that , I bought , were NARROW . I assume the manufacturers has made a mistake with the specs of the shoes. I think it is the responsibility for Florsheim , to check their product and make adjustments.
