Felt good initially, but ended up getting sore feet. Continued wearing and developed plantar fasciitis thanks to these bad boys. Went back to my Altras and everything was fixed. Screw these shoes.

I am an Merrell fan. I have had many pairs over the years and still have some. I always start with a 10.5. 95% of the time they fit. For this model shoe I had to return it and order a replacement of a size 10. So, with my Merrell success rate, IMHO these are a half size larger than true fit. I have the replacement size on order tho… :-)

Love these shoes for hiking!. I bought them for a trip to Moab Utah and they worked out great. Very comfortable and great traction on uneven slippery terrain.

Solid quality shoe for outdoor activities

I wear these shoes quite a bit, including to Vietnam and they have an interesting combination of features. They are very comfortable, they are definitely waterproof, and they are very easy to clean, even if you spill oil on them. However they are not split resistant. Who builds a waterproof shoe that feels like ice skates on wet surfaces? I have to be very careful on slippery surfaces. They also don’t breathe well and my feet get swampy quickly, not sure how that compares to other waterproof shoes though, might be a common issue.

Fit was roomy but comfortable. The problem I have with these shoes is that they’re not waterproof!! The main reason i for them. They’re gore-tex and seemed to work at first but after a couple weeks they started to leak; not wholesale soaking but after walking through the dew or light rain, my socks were wet. Unfortunately will have to return if I can.
