I love the look and style of these but could see into the boot when looking down, which meant that rain would easily get in there, too. Bummer.

I was not sure to order it or not for a whole week. And set my mind . And order it on Thursday and the shipment is from Kentucky and it’s here on Friday in California. Normal shoe size for me is 7.5. So I went for a 8. A little loose is better than too tight. The look is eye appealing.

These fit exactly as advertised. They run a bit big, so you could probably order a size down. I usually have to order Wide shoes/boots but these fit perfectly. They do have some arch support which is great. The boot, itself is a bit on the heavy side, so you do feel it after walking around in them for a while, but they are still comfortable. I like that they are short so I can slip them on quickly to take the dog out.

These run just like regular Hunter Original boots so if you happen to have those already, these are true to that size. If you don't have them, then know that you should order down from your regular shoe size as these run a little long. I'm a solid 8.5 and own these in an 8 and they fit perfect. They are VERY wide at the top of the boot though so be warned that rain and all sorts of other things will likely go down into your boot. I bought them for gardening so I really don't mind that but definitely will not wear these outside when it's raining. Bought this style for the flat bottom as I often climb up a small step ladder to get to some of my taller plants and a heel on a ladder is not very stable. I originally ordered the Chelsea boot from Hunter but sent them back because they run short and I found that the inside of the sides of the boot where the elastic gore is was really uncomfortable. These work just fine and definitely recommend!!

They were recommended to size down but were way too small,had to send back and the color seemed more pink than red.

Super practical and love the style (I’m pretty short, so love that there is a tiny bit of wedge built in). I got the red ones - a little brighter with a tad of pink, which I wasn’t totally expecting, but I actually really!ended up liking the color. They’ll be great for Spring puddles!

Love these! They’re so cute and really comfortable. Easy to get on & off. I have wide calves/ankles and kinda wide feet (I’m plus size :) and my regular size 10 fit great with room in the toe box for thicker socks in cold weather. If you don’t have wide feet, definitely size down at least half a size.

Hunter boots are my go-to for rain and snow. I wanted the short, glossy style, which is more stylish and so more appropriate for NYC, but it wasn't available in my size, and because I needed the boots right away, I opted for these. On the other hand, there's one positive over the others - - they do not have the elastic side inserts. Those tore on my other boots. The fit is very good, as I expected, but slightly narrower in the foot than my old boots, so I am not sure that I'll be able to wear my Sockwells with them. They might be warmer than the other style, so I doubt I'll want to wear them in the spring, but I'll try. My one criticism is that the style is clunky, as I knew when I ordered them, because of the no-heel sole. (But as I said, I needed boots!)

This boot was too big and heavy for me. Looked good, wish it worked for me.

I wanted a pair of short waterproof boots that I could wear outside to do barn-related chores which involve a lot of horse manure, soiled bedding, and mud. My main criterion was that they be easy to slip on and off again and even though it’s been mentioned in other reviews that these boots are NOT easy slip-ons, I decided to give them a try. Nope. Everything about them is perfect—size (I wear a 9 so that’s what I ordered), width, comfort, style—but I can’t just pop them on and off again. I ended up getting a pair of Muck boots that are perfect but not very cute so I may keep these, just because.

Overall very happy with these rain boots. Love the ankle height as high rain boots have always felt claustrophobic to me. These are high enough to keep you dry, with enough space at the tops to tuck in jeans easily. They are still a little snug on my high arches, but only really bother me if I’ve been wearing them for an extended time. They are very heavy, which makes them a little less desirable to pack in luggage. Color is what id call ‘tomato red’.

Love these boots! I got them today and I havent taken them off. I have tried various brands and boot heights and these are the winner by far. I ordered my normal size ( I know some ordered down a 1/2) and they fit perfectly. I have enough room for a big pair of socks on those colder, wet days. My only complaint is that I wish there was a bit of a liner in them but hopefuly heavy socks will do the trick.

These are very stylish, got lots of compliments. It is even more comfy with the hunter socks. Kept it on all day st work, and they were so comfy just like wearing a regular flat. Will be purchasing in black.

These Hunter's are really cute - I'm loving the "shortness" of them because it makes them so easy to get on and off (though you still need to sit down to do so - they do not slip on/off like traditional work boots). I wear a size 7 and got them in that size. Originally thought they were too small but they actually fit nicely with a little bit of wiggle room just enough for a thick-er sock. I've found them uncomfortable to wear without socks because they rub my ankles raw and slip with each step, having a sock on stabilizes the boots for me and protects my ankles. They are heavy! Was tramping around the muddy yard playing with the goats after a rainy morning when we decided to get lunch out, I didn't change out of my boots and walking around in town with them for a while took alot of energy. Overall am loving them for the intended use of tromping around our yard after rains.

I bought these in my usual size (9) and they were very big. I would think that an 8 would be a perfect fit, but although cute, these boots look very bulky and large, especially in the light color. They're not the boots for me.

So disappointed how tight these were across the balls of my feet. Wore for 20 minutes and my toes went numb. The are narrow for a " medium" width. Size up for best fit.

I.m 5 foot 8 and these boots barely go up to my ankles. Might be OK 4 light rain or light gardening but not for anything heavier. Very difficult to get them on and off without any kind of loops to hold and pull. No arch support.

These are short boots. I.m 5 foot 8 and they barely cover my ankles. They lack any handles or staps to pull the boots on. These boots might be adequate for light rain or simple gardening but they.re not going to keep you dry in snow or big rain

These are huge, I can only wear them with thick slipper socks, otherwise my foot slides all around. Great arch support, very well made.

I wear a size 8.5..i worried that the 8 would be too snug, so I ordered the 9. The 9 is too big unless you wear 2 pairs of socks. I live in the south, so wearing 2 pair of socks is not likely for me. Also, the sizzle 9 made for a wide opening at my shin, so rain straight down, could have made this boots potential water buckets. Overall, they are a cute boot. Want to try the size 8 next time.

The sizing & fit of this boot was so frustrating to figure out. I'm a size US7 & EU37 across practically every shoe brand I own (including Hunter Original Packable boot) and these Hunters in a US7 felt like a full size too big. I even tried them on with 2 pairs of my Nike crew socks and there was still plenty of room around my foot. It kept sliding off the back of my heel as I walked around the the house. Then I ended up trying a US6 at a nearby department store and it was too snug (with the 2 pairs of socks). The US6 semi-worked when I wore a VERY THIN sock such as a nylon or a thin no-show footie sock. I ended up keeping the US6 because I absolutely love the style and simplicity of the design but my feet are likely going to pay the price for that decision when I actually wear these out for their intended purpose.

These are very cute and come in fun colors but I could not get the right size. I ordered in my normal size first and the shoes were too large, my foot was coming out of it when walking. I ordered a size smaller and they were OK length-wise but felt too tight to be comfortable. The wide opening also did not work for me. It lets in wind, snow, rain. I felt cold in them. I don’t think I’ll buy rain boots at this height with such a wide opening anymore. Going up to knee-size works better in terms of walking in the rain/snow.

I love Hunter boots and in particular the " Original Play " Hunter rain boots. These particular boots are not original. I purchased the pink and blue and unfortunately sent both back because I was looking for the " Original Play " Hunter rain boots.

I wanted to wear these with the fuzzy insole. I have a high arch and narrow heel. On my 3rd order, a full size up, my arch still feels snug and I will not be able to wear them for long hours. The fuzzy insoles themselves are very slippery, which also does not help. Without the insole, they feel wide in the foot, but still low on the top of the foot. I'm really bummed, because I really like the style and the small wedge sole instead of a 1/2" rubber heel that most other rubber boots have. But I have reached my limit. A bigger size will start to look ridiculous, yet these press too hard on my foot. So with a heavy heart, I will return and try to find some other model.
