It's a cute shoe. I wish it fit me better. The front part has that nice, foot-shaped Altra toe box, and felt good. Unfortunately, the heel and midfoot areas were too roomy for me. Tightening the laces as tight as they would go, I still felt like the shoes were flopping around on my feet. Sadly, I'm returning them. NB: my nearest and dearest have likened my feet to chicken claws; this shoe might be great for folks not cursed with scrawny feet.

I'm on the fence about these shoes. Deciding whether to buy a second pair for working out, so I need to brainstorm. The pros: first, they're very cute. A nice, soft color combination. Second, the toe box is very wide; your toes will have plenty of room to spread out and relax. (This was the main reason that I purchased them.) Third, they are definitely comfortable walking shoes; I walk my dog miles and miles, and my feet have no complaints. With that in mind, the cons: first, the attached (or no) tongue makes it extremely hard to get on the shoes. Second, once you struggle and finally have them on, they then feel slightly too big. For example, to put on the shoes, I have to use a shoe horn. Once they're on, they remain comfortable but feel as if they're at least a half size too big; my foot seems to be swimming around a bit, and my ankle isn't grasped tightly. Third, the style makes the laces difficult to tighten, and even with tightening, the shoes still seem too big. I ordered them a half size down to see if the fit is better/more snug, but I have a feeling that the sizing down will also make getting them on even harder. To sum it up: Altra's idea is great --- trying to provide a wide toe box, as well as good support, specifically designed for women's feet --- but they cannot seem to achieve that all in one shoe.

Got these sneakers for HITT — have worn them now for one workout and I love them! I wanted a sneaker with a wider toe box because my toes were getting smushed by my other shoes. I like that I can use these for the elliptical and strength training. They don’t get in the way — a different pair of sneakers caused me to trip because the sole was so wide. I didn’t notice a problem with fit that was mentioned in other reviews

Love this shoe!

Shoe looks exactly like the pictures -very stylish. If your normal shoes are just a bit too narrow, these will fit very well. If your normal shoes feel very narrow but wide shoes are too wide (fall off your feet, heel is too wide) then these shoes will not solve that problem.

I am a true size 6.5 and these were pretty big on me. The heels slip off when I walk. The toe area is very wide.

I really wanted to make these shoes work, but it was impossible. They arrived creased with the laces pulled as tight as possible, so they no longer had that clean look. The shoe fit so crazy wide, even with the laces pulled as they were, all the way tight, it flopped around on my foot. I just dont see how these would work.

I wanted to like these shoes, but encountered two problems. The first is the pull-on nature of this shoe. Once one, the sizing was good for me feet. Getting them on was a challenge - too much of a struggle. The second problem was a materials and fit issue - once the shoe was on and I placed weight into my foot, the shoe audibly creaked and in some uncomfortable way the footbed rubbed my foot. I tried different socks, to no avail. I like the concept, but there is something in the design that just doesn't work with my feet. Back they go.

Such a cute shoe. I was so disappointed that I couldn't get it on my foot. Did not realize when I ordered them that the tongue is attached (or no tongue) and I have high arches from dancing. Would have had to use a shoe horn to get them on and I don't want to have to rely on that if I'm at the gym or away from home. I love Altras and ordered a different pair which I hope will work better for me.

I could not even get these on. The opening to slip your foot in is too narrow and does not stretch for an easy on shoe.
