I typically order men's shoes since I have a wide toe box. These are still fresh on my feet and haven't been worn in, but the toe seems like it will be fine and not too squishy, though I am counting on them breaking in some. I have big feet (ordered size 41) and somehow these make my feet look small, I think because the design is taller so it makes the length look shorter. The heel fits well, not slipping around. Overall they're snug but comfy, and I like the inconspicuous carbon/beet color too.
I'd also recommend:

I usually wear a Euro size 40 (US size women's 9). However I ordered this shoe in a 41 and that was the right size for me. Wish it had a bit more arch support. All in all, I thought the shoe seemed extremely well made and it was comfortable and cool-looking!! However, I returned these shoes because they were literally too heavy on my feet. They seemed more like hiking-style boots and I was looking for something more lightweight for day hikes.

Love La Sportiva. This style is well structured for fit and stability. I size up by half size to account for long hikes.

I am on my third pair of BoulderXs. I try other approach shoes in between, but keep coming back. They are comfortable right out of the box and are a surprisingly good rock climbing shoe. They do well in cracks and can edge. When I was in the Bugaboos I actually ended up ditching my mountain boots some days and climbed in the BoulderX instead (they took strap on crampons pretty well!). I love these shoes, but gotta say...I wish they put more rubber around the toe cap! Over time I wear a hole in the toe on every pair over. Otherwise, it is a super durable shoe!

These approach shoes are really comfortable and durable. The soles provide the right combination of traction and grip, so they perform great on trail and rock. They are supportive enough for long alpine approaches, while still being lightweight. They are super well constructed and long lasting shoes.

Best approach shoe I've ever owned. As a climbing guide, I'm really hard on my shoes. Come winter time, I spend my time traveling and climbing. These shoes come with me everywhere I go. They are comfortable enough for all day wear, super durable and long lasting, incredibly supportive and sturdy, and they perform really well on technical approaches and even easy slab/crack climbs. I'm on my third pair now, and I strongly reccomend these shoes if you are looking for one approach shoe that does it all.

After years of trying to find an approach shoe that fits well and performs, I finally found one! This shoe is super supportive on long approaches and durable too. Ive also been amazed at how well they climb! I sized them to fit like a glove with just enough length so my toes are fine on long descents. I feel like theyve molded to my feet perfectly. (I've got narrow feet) I almost always wear them when Im route setting in the gym and am constantly impressed with the moves I can pull off while wearing them. The rubber is super sticky and they edge really well too. Im definitely getting another pair of these soon the treads are almost gone. You can even wear them with gaiters since theres space on the sole for the bottom strap! Love!

If you have a narrow toe box, these are the shoes for you. They're a bit heavy but well made, and have a nice stiff and grippy sole. Unfortunately for me, the toe box was wayyyy too narrow and I don't even have a wide foot. I even sized up a half size and they're still too narrow. I have the TX4's as well and that toe box has plenty of room, they're almost too wide. I'm not sure why la sportiva makes such a huge variation in their shoes. They were so painful I had to take them off in the middle of a long class 5 scramble since the circulation in my toes was completely cut off. I wish they fit as they are much more rugged and durable than the TX4 (the TX4 lace system is extremely delicate and frays/breaks) and I really like the stiff platform. Maybe the next version of the boulder x will have a little more width in the front (hint hint la sportiva). So for now they get three stars for having an unusually narrow toe box that makes them unwearable for me.
