The best shoes I ever had to run in the mountains!! No comprimise to do in comfort or stability. Those shoes are handling any type of terrain and any distance you want to do . Grip is also 100% better than other model I had before.

I have worn multiple Sportiva running shoes and these are a great balance of cushion for longer runs while feeling light, nimble and precise. The fit is excellent as well

i love this shoe, great fit, i size up and have never had blisters. the "slip on" style tongue is comfortable and snug; the grip is great adn the lugs are the right size for year round use in the pnw. how ever there toebox always ends up blowing out, seems like an obvious weak spot on the shoe. please make other colorways, they always seem limited and are quite bad in my opinion.

This shoe does what it is meant to do. It is good for technical trails and fits closely to the foot. Running in this shoe feels precise and stable. If you have wide feet, it may not be great and even after sizing up by a half EU size, it's a tad small for me. The rock guard on the toe isn't particularly useful, especially if you only size up a little instead of a lot, so for a shoe used for rocky trails that takes it down a little.

They seem to be very nice shoes. My wife has a pair of this brand and she loves them; however, my shoes were very narrow and I could not walk in them. I will check the website to see if La Sportiva comes in wides.

Out of the box I LOVED this shoe. It exudes quality. Put it on and it felt amazing. Love the rubber and lug pattern. Then I stood up. Had to return it as it has loads of heel slip. Walking on flat ground was like flip flops. I had this issue with the original Bushidos too but I wore those for a many outings and lacing styles to see if I could get used to them. I had constant blisters and didn't want to repeat that. If these had a better heel for my foot I would probably own 2 or 3 pair.

Very comfortable shoe with a springy feel. Lightweight and love the sock-like fit. My only complaint is the rate at which the sole wore down. I have less than 100 miles and the outside "spikes" are gone. If Sportiva can improve the durability of the spikes I would definitely buy another pair.

Bought these a month ago and I hate to say I'm disappointed. I've been running in the Bushidos for a long time but wanted a rock plate for some of the fast rocky downhill races I do, figured I would try these!
After reading the reviews this shoe seemed perfect for me! I either got a bad batch or the wrong shoe...
The heel cup is pretty poor for my heel - a lot of friction and blisters. Blisters. Tried a different orthotic and it made it worse. When I'm running down uneven rocks I've felt my heel almost come out the side at times when my forefoot and balance feel in control.. felt weird. All the pictures in the reviews show a different shoe with a better looking heel cup, similar looking to my bushidos but look different from the Kaptivas I bought.
The lace system is either too tight or too loose, which is super frustrating. Plus it already started to rip! Only after 4 weeks and maybe 50 miles on them.
I also had issues with my feet cramping for the first 3 weeks when wearing these shoes. I didn't notice the cramping this week but my blisters were so painful I may not have felt it.
Overall, these shoes are a huge disappointment for me. After one month they are already looking ripped and worn. I'm going to try and get a return or warranty for them because of the rips but am buying the Bushidos for my race in September because the Kaptivas are a no go for my foot.
I'll upload photos if it let's me. Proper fit overall though. Unsure why these do not get along with my feet when they seem similar to the Bushidos.

La Sportiva seems to have completely changed their fit. I have a narrow foot and these were too narrow for me. The old fit was perfect.

I wear a US 9 and the fit isn't right.when I run over 5 km my toes start hurting. I contacted la sportive to mention my problem and I was told their guaranty doesn't cover fit problem so I'm left with a pair of shoes I can't wear

I purchased this shoe based off of the incredible reviews and ratings that this shoe brings to the table. I loved the way that they felt when I first put them on and was pretty sold on the good look. However, when I broke them out for the first hike I noticed that after a short amount of time I felt like there was no blood in the tip of my toe or the back of my heal from the uncomfortable fit.
I have been wearing La Sportiva for a while and definitely know that I purchased the right size, so I waited to break them in a little more. The real surprise came when I put them on for a hike about two weeks after purchasing them. With the laces untied and only a normal amount of force, the finger loop on the back snapped right off of the shoe.
My hope is that I got a really under cared for pair and that the shoe is normally comfortable and sturdy as all other La Sportiva shoes have been for me, but this one leaves much to wish for.

I really wanted to love this shoe. Unfortunately, this shoe wore holes in the heal cup after 100 miles of running. Had to return.
