I bought these shoes about one year ago, and they have held up beautifully. I'm pretty hard on them, as is my 2 year old wire fox terrier. This is one tough but comfortable with great traction.

Good shoes as far as construction quality is concerned. They run 1/5 to 1 size small, and are very very snug just behind the toes. I've never had a shoe be tight in that area but these are very tight, even with laces as loose as possible. They are light and I feel agile in them, excellent grip, and they look great to me.
I'd also recommend:

Love these shoes. They hug my narrow feet and have plenty of shock resistance. I hike 10 or 11 miles with a full pack on steep, rocky terrain and all's good. The grip is insane. The laces stay tied. So responsive and laterally stiff enough when off-camber. They do run quite small. I usually wear an 11 in a hiking shoe and had to get a 12.5. I MIGHT be able to get away with a 12, but the 12.5 is great. Toe crashes ruin any trip. I wish the studs on the sole were wearing a bit more slowly. Only reason they get 4 and not 5 stars.

I ordered size 11 and it was very tight, which made the shoe feel uncomfortable. Order at least 1/2 size up.

This is one of the best running shoes ever made. The performance and durability of the outsole for a shoe in this class is really impressive. The combination of support and stability offered by the hard plastic heel cup/partial shank is also excellent. It is a shame that it is such a narrow fit. If it came in a proper wide fit (normal for most other shoes), I'd be able to recommend it to all of my customers. As it stands, its sadly a niche shoe for folks with very narrow feet. Please make a wider version! Thanks

I can't speak for the trail runners of the world, but as a climber, I found this shoe to be very high performing. It fits snuggly and has high sensitivity.

We have some of the most jagged Mtn terrain here outside Las Vegas Nevada and they were superb on that terrain and and sand and rock trails, washes. But on smooth rock and scrambles out at red rock or under tree line in wet conditions they slipped all over, dangerously in fact. Shoe is really well constructed though great price for what you get. Very breathable, light, yet keeps you very well protected. I feel the fit in heel is terrible though. If you need a tester to beat the junk out of shoes and give you honest assessments hit me up.

These shoes are very comfortable and lower to the ground than most other La Sportiva shoes that I've put on. The fit is better (for me) than previous La Sportiva shoes as they have widened the toe box, however they still do not give as much room as I'm used to as other shoes. The instep is also quite tight and takes some breaking in to get it to stretch out.

Great fit, great traction, awesome color scheme, and is holding up well. Just like a shoe of this caliber should. I would absoultley buy these again or recommend them to firends with out a doubt. The Negitive: It doesnt do a great job at being water resistant at all.

This was my fourth pair of La Sportiva running and hiking shoes/boots. I normally wear a 41mm Euro (8 1/2 US) size shoe. All of my La Sportiva shoes have been 42.5. The Bushido fit length wise, but felt very tight across the midfoot. I returned them for a pair of Wildcats, which fit my slightly wider foot a bit better...I am really an 8 3/4 if there was such a thing.

The OG bushido was just way better. This has awesome potential Al but as a 6 foot 7 mtn athlete, these are insanely small to the already snug OG bushido. The heel is definitely too short for one, which is a weird thing to change. The toe box and length of shoe feel slightly smaller to the original shoe as well. Overall disappointed as I can't wear these for longer missions like the original shoe.

These were used shoes! They arrived in unmarked plain box and even had dirt embedded in a lug on the sole. These were used for outdoor runs and shouldn't have been sold as new. I love Zappos..this was a first and I hope last time this happens. As for the shoes, they run small.

Length of the 47's was good for my foot but they were significantly too narrow for my "regular" size 13 feet. I usually have plenty of width and have never bough a pair of wide shoes in my life but even trying the 47.5's caused my foot to wrinkle it was so narrow. My feet measure 285mm long by 109mm wide at the widest point, while standing. Had to return.

Fit was completely wrong, toe box is TINY and for very narrow foot. I buy normal shoes and have been measured several times and apart from an extra wide option I don’t see how I could ever wear.

They are a size smaller than normal and I had seen the reviews and planned for that in my order. Even with the bigger shoe size, I have always had medium width shoes and these made we want a wide version of the shoe which I believe is not an option.

There's things to love about these shoes. Sticky sole. Fantastic lugs. Excellent downhill brakes. But the Bushido II is, for me, nowhere near as comfortable as the original Bushido. The fit was supposed to be the same but the II is narrower still if you can believe it. I've worn through 2 different pair of Bushido in size 44 over hundreds of miles but find the Bushido II in size 44 to be long enough but toe numbingly narrow.

The sole of the shoe seems to have broke down on me rather quickly. I've work them about 10 times doing various things with them. I've noticed a break down and the shoes hurt to wear now. At first I really liked these shoes, but I'm concerned about the fact the shoe is uncomfortable to wear now after such a short time.

I typically wear a size 42 (US 9) and scaled up to a 42.5 (US 9.5) for this shoe. Lengthwise the shoe fit great. I have very high arches (99th percentile of the population) and I really liked the support these provided, I felt no need to use another insole. Unfortunately these shoes did not work out for me due to the narrow width. They fit perfectly on a short try-on walk, but after ~5k of running my foot swelling had my feet going numb. I ran a total of 30k in these shoes hoping for them to "break in", but no such luck. For reference, my foot is 10.5 cm (~4.1 in) at it's widest point. This just barely meets the criteria for a "wide" foot based on my size and according to the literature I could find.

These look great and appear well built. However they simply are too tight vertically, meaning the upper presses into the top of the foot and cuts off circulation to the toes (if I loosen the laces the shoe slips). Also, traction isn’t as good as they advertise. I found the Saucony Peregrine 10 better in almost all respects (except for looks and perhaps ruggedness).

I'm a courier so im constantly trying to find good shoes that last. Unfortunately these were good for about a month. I purchased them about 2 1/2 - 3 months ago and the sole is starting to wear through completely. Apparently 15-20 kms a day walking is too much. The rest of the shoe is holding up quite well. The sole is just gone and my feet hurt after a long day. The hunt continues

The forefoot is so narrow that my mid foot actually goes numb after about an hour. I have tried wearing them a bit more often however they don't seem to stretching out. I have owned 3 pair of the prior bushido's and loved them.

I just used recently-purchased La Sportiva Bushido II's in NH's White Mountains for five days and was VERY disappointed in the traction on wet rock. (These were a replacement for Merrell All Out Peak's that I wore out and were great in all conditions including super traction on wet rock.) I thought the Bushido II was going to be my next great hiking shoe, but unfortunately no. The fit was OK, I sized-up but otherwise good fit. Not great on rock like Mt Adams but I would insert a green superfeet and I think that would be OK. The big problem is the lack of traction - these are very slippery shoes. :>(
