Awsome shoes, great quality, comfortable and good looking. A little pricey, but you get what you pay. Cactus to clouds episode me a lot.

Recently purchased this shoe. I was looking for a durable, waterproof and breathable hiking shoe. This shoe delivers maximum performance while being durable and breathable. I find that my foot doesn't get too hot (a problem with many hiking shoes) but remains rigid and is of course waterproof. You could accomplish most assents with the maximum grip this shoe offers and be comfortable the entire time. I highly recommend them!

The shoe fit almost perfectly and was ready to go from the first walk. No break-in needed. And...they arrived sooner than Zappos said they would. I just wish they would come in a different color other that carbon (black), and the yellow heel marking is a bit too loud.
I'd also recommend:

A nice show. But there is no way to buy replacement shoe laces!

The fit on the La Sportiva Spire GTX was a different than standard. The forefoot was a little narrow, not excessive but snug for a D with. But the heel socket is very large, allowing lots of heel slippage. I wanted to like the shoe but the overall fit spoiled it for me. Note, i do have rather narrow heels but most shoes are okay.
I'd also recommend:
Salewa, Asics,Nike, all fit well most of the time.

Plenty of toe space, but chafed around the ankle. Higher differential than I was accustomed to.

Great for hiking but specs say weight is 15.5 oz. Well, that's PER boot!!! Nice La Sprotiva, LOL.
Was looking for lightweight shoes/boots for hiking and backpacking. The weight for these is really 2 lbs/32 oz (I weighed them), which is the same as your average hiking boots. I guess that's ok but would really have appreciated some truth in advertising here. Every oz counts when you're out there doing 15, 20 miles a day (especially when you have 25/30 lbs on your back!!!)

Very unstable in the heel/ankles. Rubber on soles is too soft and slippery. Not recommended.

Chafes around the ankle, lifts the heel more than I'm accustomed to.

The problem with the shoe is the fit. I tried another model in the store for size. It was 41.5
But this model is way to big. Same order i bought a tempesta Gtx 41.5. It is to small.
This never happened to me , i usually always have the same size.
