After years off of running, I wanted to get back into it and I was looking for support against over pronation. These shoes were FANTASTIC right out of the gate and were comfortable all around. I liked the lacing system. Though, I wonder what happens if a lace should break. I found that the laces slipped a wee bit. So the shoe never stayed as tight as I had set them. Perhaps, a bit more friction between the laces and the slider might help maintain the desired tightness. But, these were huge minuses for me. There's a little pocket on the top of the shoe tongue where you tuck the excess lace after tightening them. The pounding of each stride is nicely absorbed by these shoes. I absolutely love them. If Salomon keeps making shoes like this, there will be no need for any other.

I already wrote a review for this shoe. Im not sure why it was deleted, so here it goes again. Shoes are well built and feel great on my feet. I bought an 11-1/2 and that length fit perfectly. Shoe width is marked as 'wide' or a 'D' I found it to be spot on because a 'D' for an 11-1/2 length is 4-1/16" in width which is exactly what my foot width is. I

I was on the search for a light trail shoe. I had already gone to all the big box stores and tried on Keens, Merrill, and even other Salomon shoes but all of them were narrow or the step felt odd. Enter these shoes! Love on first fit. Bummed that today is a rainy day cause I really want to wear them out. They feel great with a natural stride. Highly recommended. These shoes feel like home.

Super comfortable shoes to run on for every terrain. The version one lasted about 500 miles for me and this new version still keeps all the good features but lighter and well fitted. Definitely recommend adding these shoes to your arsenal.

Nice lightweight shoes. One negative is that it has a unique shoestring system but you can't replace them because the shoelace holes are very small and regular size shoe laces won't fit.

I'm a fan of Salomon shoes. My other current pair, the Salomon Sonic Ra Max 2, are the same 9.5 mens size I ordered for this shoe, the Sense Ride 2. They couldn't fit any differently. This shoe seems to force my foot forward, pushing into the narrow toe box. Plus I find the thinner soled forefront of the shoe to create an imbalance to the very cushioned heal. I've put some miles on these shoes and this has not caused blisters, so maybe they will break in a bit. These days I think shoes fit out of the box - or they don't and won't conform over time. Note, with Zappos excellent return policy I had my chance to return them before wearing outside - but the fit out of the box somehow had me thinking they'd fit better once in real use. Plus I was enamored with how they look, still am and all of us who love shoes know how powerful and compelling looks can be! I find the shoe build quality excellent and I'm sure they'll fit others just fine. But for me, this shoe seems like a miss and an avoidable one.

I got them in gray/black. These run true to size and are very comfortable. I’m not a trail runner but wear these on the local short golf course. Traction is excellent on wet or dry grass. They also look good with denim, around town.

Have only put on about 25 miles of day hikes / trail runs, but am absolutely ecstatic about these shoes; loved the look, very comfortable right out of the box, great grip and love the lacing system. I have not had good luck with Salomon in the past as they typically run too narrow for my foot, but suprisingly, these are a little wider than others I've tried...sooo happy! I've been a proponent of the New Balance 'Leadville' in the past, but have not had very good success with New Balance since the 'Leadville' has been discontinued. These are BY FAR my favorite / go to hiking / trail running shoe now. HIGHLY recommend!

These feel great. Dealing with Plantar Fasciitis and these shoes really help.

I have worn these one day, on the carpet and with clean socks, just in case I need to return. So far they are excellent. I am glad I ordered a 12.5 instead of my normal 12. I think a 12 would have been a bit too snug. I like the liner - should be good for going sockless. I also like removable insoles so I can insert my own green Superfeet.
