I have purchased at least ten pairs of Solomon tech-amphibian water shoes. First pair of tech- A 4 Major disappointment. Not at all like the discontinued tech A shoes Mesh is very tightly woven unlike earlier tech shoes from the last ten years. Tongue Feels like plastic. Support strap for heal isn’t what it was either. So disappointed. What is wrong with you guys at Solomon ? Change it up if you want by offering different or more radical funky color schemes but remake the same perfect shoe design of the past. Destroyed the whole shoe for me. Bring back the shoe we all like or I’m done.

I've been wearing TechAmphibians through three or four updates, over ten years' time. Loved the light weight, quick tie, cool mesh surfaces and the low key colors. Salomon doesn't offer many low key colors these days, too bad. But this model is just too far off from the earlier models. I do not like the thin thin tongue. I do not like the flat surface color scheme. Dear Salomon, I wish you'd look at the grey/green shoe I fell in love with about ten years ago. Bought it at an REI. Muted colors for walking in the woods without scaring the wildlife with neon zigzags! Thanks, LWW

I wanted to like these, but unfortunately the TechAmphib 4 fall way short. I absolutely love my TechAmphib 3s and when my 5 pairs started looking worn out, I THOUGHT theses would be a nice upgrade. Right off the bat, they are very flimsy and cheaply made compared to the 3s. The materials used feel like they are going to tear or break at any moment. After about 30 minutes of wear, my feet start to hurt, then the hurt turns to ridiculous pain. The better option is to take them off and walk barefoot the rest of the day, I can’t and won’t wear them again. I have no idea what Salomon was thinking when they came up with these, but messing with the Tech 3s was a disastrous decision. I’m currently trying and hoping Keen and Merrell hiking shoes will offer something better. Salomon lost me!!!

I was huge fan of the previous models of techamphibian, and TA 4 looked promising. Style looked way better, closer to what I usually prefer, and it won't miss your expectations, in person it is even better. However, what they did with the comfort in TA 4 model is horrible. Salomon ruined two things: arch support is way too high, it is just painful trying to wear shoes, also the heel tab is so thin that it folds every time I'm trying to put shoe on, so I every time need to hold it with hands. Neither was the case in the last 15 years since I first discovered TA model.

I have worn these shoes on occasion for the last month, and the mesh along the side of both shoes has already torn. Poor quality!

My favorite and most versatile shoe was the Salomon Men's Evasion Cabrio Outdoor Sandal. I've worn them hiking, in rivers, on my motorcycle... you name it. I purchased the Techamphibian 4 since I thought it would be an upgrade and the Techamphibian 3's were sold out. The mesh on the 4's began to separate in about a month and I haven't worn them anywhere but in my office and and in my yard. Not happy at all with this product. They will become my yard work shoe now since they look absolutely terrible. I hope there will be a considerable amount of revisions to next years model.

This pair disintegrated in 2 weeks. The side mesh on both shoes is torn to shreds. No heavy duty use!!!

I bought my first Salomon Techamphibians 15 or 16 years ago. They were great! I literally wore the first 2 pairs around the world a couple of times...walking, hiking, whatever. Since then EVERY change (NOT improvement) Salomon has made, has made the shoes less great! Why? The first I owned where durable, and stayed secure on my feet. The next change brought a thinner rear strap that never stayed secure, along with the lace toggle that looked the same, but would not stay secure either. The latest edition can not be compared at all. Poor!
