Very nice jacket, exactly what I wanted except for the fact that it runs a little short. However, this may not be a problem for others as I am very tall (6'8") and ordered an XXL. Tall sizes would be amazing!

For Rain Days or windy cool days with chances of rain. This jacket was purchased as a rain coat for the most part.

This is a great light weight, wind proof jacket for biking.

I got one for my outdoor running during rainy weather. I tried it during cycling and it still works well as the hood was able to accommodate my helmet. The only drawback I felt is during heavy rains. I am not sure if the jacket cant withstand it or its the sweat as I get wet under the jacket too. For my runs, I wear a cap and the put the hood on top of it. Works perfectly fine as there are no slipping or moving of the hood. The sleeves are pretty lengthy for me, but the velcro around the wrists works fine. The pockets are really good and I hold my keys in it during run and there is no discomfort. It works as a windbreaker too. During a long run, I was able to reduce the warmth inside the jacket by using the zippers under the arms and zipped up after it became a little cooler. Will I recommend this product ? Yes, I will. I am average built, 5'7 and 163 lbs and wear a size M.

I was looking for a lightweight rainjacket and this ticked all my boxes.
I've always been a Large in TNF products, I have an old RDT rain jacket, and tried on the new Venture 2 as well. Both products fit great. Given the Venture 2 and Allproof Stretch are both considered "Standard Fit", I thought I for sure found my new favourite jacket.
After it arrived I was extremely disappointed, this jacket is very tight around the stomach/waist area. The Venture 2 was loose and comfortable, as you'd expect from a Standard fit product, but the Allproof stretch was not loose and instead was closer to a slim fit than a true standard fit.
Very unfortunately, the jacket looks and feels fantastic, but obviously TNF have some issues with the sizing and labelling of this jacket. If you are a skinny person it won't be an issue, but if you are medium to large especially around the waste, buyer beware.

Overall, I like this style. The exterior is soft and silk-like, which is great. The interior is very much like rubber, and I don't feel comfortable when my skin touches the interior surface.

I got this jacket October 2019, as a replacement to an old north face rain jacket, and to use on a daily basis in rotation with another rain jacket from Mountain Hard Wear. I spend a lot of time outdoors, and was looking for something light, breathable, robust and most importantly water proof.
First couple of outings with this jacket were in the East Coast in the Adirondacks. Had somewhat heavy rain, and wind. The jacket seemed to do ok with those conditions. From January till March the jacket didn't get much use. Recently I relocated to Central America where heavy rain is commonplace and I have been using the jacket pretty heavily.
A few days ago I noticed that I was getting wet while outdoor during heavy rain. I started using the jacket more often to test it and I kept noticing that I was getting wet on the back of my neck. I inspected it carefully and noticed the water proof lining on the hoodie was coming apart.
It's a shame but his jacket doesn't seem to be up to standards, and I would not recommend it for people that are very outdoorsy. Just yesterday while walking on a trail the jacket suffered a small tear from a tree branch, nothing major but I didn't think the material would be so fragile.
Hope the review helps

I bought this jacket in August 2019. It is super stylish and lightweight but the problem is that it's not really waterproof. For everyday use, it's great! I went to Scotland on a hiking trip with this jacket and my entire body was soaked with rain since the jacket isn't really waterproof. I was miserable. In addition, the rain ruined the jacket and the collar cannot even sit straight and tall like normal.
I went to the store to exchange for a new one because it's clearly NOT waterproof as advertised but they ask me to do a stupid warranty thing which I don't think I should wait weeks to get a replacement when it's clearly North Face fault. Please make this right or I will just buy another brand from now on!! I will send back my jacket to get a replacement but I am not doing all this stupid paperwork and waiting for weeks! I will just wear this jacket as casual wear instead of rain wear.

After the third rainstorm, the waterproofing wore off and the jacket wetted out badly. After that, water penetrated the stretch fabric easily and I got soaked. Not sure what to use this for now, maybe a windbreaker.

Did I get a faulty "rain"coat?! This thing is not waterproof AT ALL! I bought it for my high schooler, he just came in SOAKED with the "allproof raincoat" on! It's not even raining heavy and he just walked from bus stop to home and his layers are all wet! Don't waste your money on this if you want to use it in the rain.

The water proof lining is falling a part after only a few months. It hasn't even been washed yet... had better expectations.

I bought this jacket for a trip to Glacier National Park and for everyday use. This jacket was supposed to be waterproof but is a horrible jacket. A paper towel would provide better rain protection than this "all proof" jacket. Even light rain is immediately soaked up and bleeds through. This is the third North Face jacket I've owned and it is by far the worst. Not sure I will be buying anything from NF again after this.

I used this jacket in exactly one situation: commuting on rainy days. This jacket got a small tear in the sleeve before I even wore it 10 times. For the first time ever I am hugely dissapointed by TNF.
