I love this jacket, except for the hood. My face does not stay dry in the wind and rain. Would be an excellent jacket if it had a visor built into the hood. To solve the problem I have to wear a baseball cap under the hood to keep my face dry. I'm 5'3" and 105 lbs and the XS has plenty of room for a fleece jacket underneath. The sleeves are a bit long. It is not lined.

Have ordered many other jackets from Columbia was very disappointed because the jacket was too narrow in the hip area. Fit everywhere else my daughter also tried it on and found same problem.

I bought this for my mom and overall she really likes it, the fit is very attractive and it seems good quality. However, we were both surprised that the color in person was substantially darker than it appeared in the images online.

I can understand why people like this jacket, but I did not. I wear a medium in other Columbia items (5'2", 125 lbs), but this was huge on me. The cherrybomb color, as depicted, looked gloriously red. It is actual an orangey red and looks dowdy. The material - and I read this in reviews before purchasing, so my bad - is thin and noisy.

It is different as in the advertisement, thinner fabric. Color is also somewhat off. It is not worth the price marked.

I bought this a few months ago . The fit is true to size . I'm 5.6 and weigh 163, bought a L. Now I used it yesterday in a downpour and was soaked underneath! Do not market as a raincoat!!

I didn't like the style of the jacket after receiving it in the mail.

The jacket is very comfortable and fashionable. Unfortunately, I needed it to be my rain jacket but it's not waterproof. I was soaked and freezing after my walk in the rain.

Cute rain jacket; unfortunately the jacket I received has a faulty zipper and the stitching on the back of the jacket is loose. I've worn the jacket a total of 4 times, so it's definitely not worn out.

This was purchased to wear in rainy weather and while it may repel water, it wasn't waterproof enough to prevent an entire shirt soaking while taking a walk in the rain. Since you'd still need to use an umbrella to stay dry while using this jacket in the rain, I don't feel that it meets expectations.

The fit and color is this rain jacket are great, but it's NOT waterproof!! I wore it out with my kids today and I was soaked underneath it. It should not be labeled as a rain jacket.

"Pardon my trench rain jacket" implies that I won't get soaked in a rain. Do not buy this jacket if you don't want your shoulders, and breast SOAKED. Lovely and flattering, until you take it off and have four wet spots across your torso.

The fabric it's so thin and don't protects from the rain, not really good jacket to but it's good the size I am medium and perfectly fit but the I am so disappointed about the fabric

I purchased this jacket purposely for the rain. Don't be fooled by the description "rain jacket". Wore jacket out in the rain and got totally soaked - and wasn't in the rain for very long. Paid to return jacket to be looked at, only to have it returned back to me stating that this jacket is not advertised as water-proof. My bad for paying for this pricy jacket as assuming a rain coat was a rain coat, and not truly distinguishing between water resistant and water proof and in what kind of rain it could be worn in. Can only be worn in a very light mist as it is only water resistant. Behaves more like a wind breaker than rain coat.

Very cute, but cannot withstand anything more than a light mist. Completely soaked during my 20min walk to school.

RETURNED IT BECAUSE THE ZIPPER WAS JAMMED

If you want to stay dry in the rain, this coat won't help. I regret buying this coat so much. I ride my bike to work, and work outside in all weather. I had this coat to long to return it before I found out firsthand that I have about 20 minutes in the rain before I'm soaked.

I am unbelievably disappointed in this jacket. It is not a trench. It is a plastic grocery bag with waist ties. It is a typical Columbia windbreaker trying to pass itself off as a classy jacket. I got the "City Grey" color and IT IS A CHECKED PRINT. I am so offended. I'm 5'3" 140# 36D. I got the medium and it "fit" (I was able to zip it up and move my arms). NOT a flattering fit. The zipper was so hard to use I thought it was broken at first. Maybe the newer version/color of this jacket is better. It is probably waterproof, which would be its redeeming quality if the hood were decent (it's not). Do not buy this jacket. Do better for a "trench," Columbia.

It looks cute, but doesn't actually keep out water. The jacket leaked at the shoulder seams the first time I wore it after about 30 minutes in a steady rain (not even a downpour). Complete waste of money.

I ordered this based on the reviews and was disappointed. The sleeves are way too long and full and the overall fit is not flattering or fitted in any way, even with the belt.
