The tongue of this hit my shin rather straight in and was therefore very uncomfortable. Normally I love this brand!

I don't know if this is just my foot, but the tongue of this shoe (part right under laces) cuts straight into the top of my leg. It's honestly pretty odd, because its every time I walk its like I get stabbed sideways.... I'm not really sure why I have this problem, as the other reviewers didn't seem to have this problem? Maybe its because it was slightly to big for my foot, but I felt like it fit in all of the other places. Its also not padded like a lot of running shoes tongues are so maybe that's why? You don't notice it as much if you have a sock layer in between but that doesn't fix the problem. I really loved everything else about the shoe, the looks, the comfort of the foot bed, etc but I need to be able to walk comfortably with each step so that's sad. Going to be returning.

The shoes was very uncomfortable around the ankles and not as flexible as originally thought.

I really wanted to like these boots but they are not good. They are so hard, I wore them out and I felt like crying from the pain. My ankles hurt so bad, the tongue cut right into my skin. I had the 6-inch boots and I loved them but these are not good! Don't buy them unless you like pain. I gave 2 stars for the sizing and the quality. 0 for comfort.

First of all, the European size conversion reference table is incorrect, just as info imprinted on shoes. According to information on the website and on the shoes, size US 8 represents EU size 39, which turned out to be a wrong conversion. I wear EU 39 and size 8 is more like EU 38.5, whereas size US 8.5 = EU 39. Secondly, I read the reviews before purchasing these. I was looking for waterproof, lightweight boots that can be worn "right out of the box" as one of the reviews said. I don't know if it is true for all feet, but in my case the tongue cut straight into my leg. I couldn't imagine leaving the house wearing them. It seems if the tongue was a bit longer, it would just fold up instead of cutting straight into a log.

I bought some timberland boots a few years ago and they were awesome. And were very comfortable. I don't know why these are totally opposite. Definetly not worth the money. And if you have any type of foot ailment DO NOT BUY THESE BOOTS.

I wear my Tims everyday. There comfortable, stylish, sturdy and reliable. These boots are not cheap. At the price point, I expect superior workmanship. The last 2 pairs I've bought, both on line, one directly from Timberland and the other from an approved outlet. And had to return them, due to really sloppy stitching. Makes me very sad. I want to order custom boots, but afraid there be poorly made.

I got these boots because I loved the magenta color. Because they are Timberland, I expected them to be comfortable and useful for long walks and moderate hiking. After taking them on a three-mile walk, I am disappointed in these boots. They have no arch support and they really could use more padding throughout the foot bed. They also rub right above my ankle bone, which is uncomfortable. They are cute and I will probably wear them to the office and to casual events, but I won't be doing too much walking in these.

I like the brand and the shoe, but I wanted shoes that looked like the pictured black nubuck. To me, the picture shows a dark complex charcoal gray. The actual shoe is a flat dark color like India ink. Nowhere near as cute.

Cushioning at top is extrememely uncomfortable, hard as a rock gave me black & blue marks around upper ankle areas.. taking them to a shoemaker to see if he can cut the whole top of the boot o ff..

I ordered this in the wide width, and it felt no different than the standard width. There is a ridge of stitching at the base of the tongue, and that makes the seam incredibly uncomfortable when the boot flexes to walk. I am so disappointed, because I really loved the shorter height.

Sigh, these were the exact design/look I wanted, but there's no arch support, the toe-bed is too narrow, the heel-bed is too wide, and the top and tongue poke into the ankles/shins. Ugh. I wanted to love them but they're awful.

I hate these boots! This ranks up there with one of my most wasteful purchases ever!! Heavy and uncomfortable. Worn once and not willing to try again.
I'd also recommend:
Taos, Birkenstock & Dr. martens

The fit was small but I think because the boot itself was so stiff. No give what so ever. Very uncomfortable.

Very uncomfortable due to the extremely rigid tongue of the shoe. It presses against the front of your ankle when you walk (digs into the flesh). Liked the overall look of the shoe but it is unwearable.

Very disappointed. The right boot had a defect right across the middle, obvious to anyone packing it...but maybe not so obvious since it was actually shipped to me. I was looking forward to getting them. Very disappointed.

I had to ask how much the boots weighed because the on-line listing for women's boots didn't list. I was told they weighed 1.1 ounces. So not true. They were heavier that the size 11 boots my husband bought. Sorry not for me
