I bought these boots because I was thinking ahead to the upcoming wet weather, as well as wanting a kick-around boot with some style. The all-grey version was intriguing to me because it didn't necessarily look like a traditional Timberland boot. So, I got it and have worn them out numerous times. I wore them during a recent rainstorm and even took on a few puddles. I don't mind if they get scuffed up, however so far, they are holding up fine. Good boot with the quality that is the tradition of Timberland.

Shoe is tight across top of foot. I used the ice method twice to stretch it and it worked out pretty good. Bottoms are a little firm and not quite as soft as some other boots...doesn't matter unless you need good foot support to keep your feet from hurting. Would only buy again if they came in wide sizes.

I like wearing these boots around town.
They look great with jeans and are comfortable to wear. They are great all year around.

I love them because they go with almost all kinds of outfits despite their color. The only issue, which bummed me out a bit is that the white leather on the trimmings is already cracking. And, even though the nubuck does not stain, the light colored sole, and white edges do stain easily.

The only problem is that the boot is narrow.p

The only issue was that it was a half size to big so I bought half a size down and they got perfectly.

These boots required no break-in period. I wore them 2 days in a row with a lot of walking and I got no blisters. I am usually between a 6 and 6.5 in women's and the 6 fit me perfectly (6.5 was too big). My one con is that there is not enough padding in the insoles.

These shoes looked nice and fit well, but the tongue was really stiff and the edge of it dug into my ankle. I had a bruise after only a few minutes walking around my house. I have small ankles so maybe that's the issue, but I wish the tongue had some padding or something.

It's well made. The height of the boot doesn't look flattering. Takes away any ankle and looks like kankles.

I fit a youth 6.5 in other rolldowns but the 7.5 woman's chunkka are much narrower.

I bought these boots to work and wear leisurely, afer having worn them a couple of times, people keep asking "what's that squeaking sound?" It's my boots! They're beautiful but they squeak when walking!

I had to take these to a shoe guy and have him cut the tongue down = it was cutting into the front of my ankle. Now they're good.

Had a pair before, and they were amazing. Got a new pair, the inside fabric under the foot did not hold after barely a week of wear. I would give the shoes 5 stars otherwise, but this is disappointing #SWEEPSTAKES

Love the look, well made, but too stiff for walking and no arch support.

I usually wear an 8 1/2 M . Ordered a 9M. With a heavy sock there was still plenty of room in the toe. Heavy shoe and a good work boot. I thought of trying an 8 1/2M but I am returning the boots because of the very hard unnecessary and uncomfortable foam cushion around the ankle top. Get rid of it.

I have been wearing Timberlands forever. I started out buying multiple pairs of 6 inch and knew that I would have to break the ankles in because of the stiffness of the leather. I then bought chukkas - Femmes in wheat and Nellie in Black. No problems. I recently bought another pair of Black Nellies for the excellent traction. OMG. TORTURE. The tongue on the right foot actually cut me and made me bleed through MY SOCK!!. I thought I would have to turn around and go home but decided to tuck my jeans under the tongue and made it to the store and back. If you can tuck the bottoms of sweats or jeans under the tongue you will be ok. Otherwise, be prepared to live in agony. I do not know what the heck Timberland did differently, but this is my last pair. I have been wearing them since the early 2000s.

Although they could use more support, I love them! When I was a kid in New Jew Jersey, mom always bought me a pair for the winter. I had not had a pair of Timbies in more than 20 yrs. Reminiscing purchase. I'm happy.

I was looking for a nice pair of waterproof winter boots with good tread and classic style to go with my jeans. I was confident that the Nellie Chukkas would fit the bill, especially considering that I had two successful Timberland purchases sitting in my closet: the "Mt. Maddsen" boots and the "Chocorua Trail" boots. I was disappointed. The Nellie did not feel anywhere near as comfortable as my other Timberland purchases. The Nellie felt too stiff, signaling to me a potentially painful break-in period. The top of the tongue rubbed against the top of my foot as I walked. The laces were too short to allow for double-knotting and too slippery to stay tied for long. And finally, the style seems a bit too clunky and masculine for my taste.
