The fir was really good for my grandson. He had to have extra wide because he wears orthotics and they were wide enough for the orthotics to fit with his foot comfortably. Very pleased.

These look like old man shoes on my son, but it’s so hard to find shoes that fit his wide feet. He loves these and wears them all the time!

This is the third pair of sneakers I have bought for my very active 3 year old and I can already tell that we won't need to buy another until he outgrows these (the other two sneakers were a different brand, same size and he burned through them quickly). They look and feel incredibly sturdy and his foot slides in easily; they appear very comfortable. These sneakers are approx. $10-15 more expensive than the other two brands we tried before these but had I just gone with this brand first I could have saved a lot of money because it's clear these are made so much better, particularly for active boys.

My son loved the shoe

The suede seems sturdy and the Velcro doesn’t grab the surrounding material, which is a plus. Runs on the wider side. Big brother matches little brother, which they love. Thanks Zappos!

I'm not the one wearing these, obviously — but my son seems very comfortable in these. He broke his leg this fall, and we wanted to make sure he had comfortable shoes when he got out of the cast-boot journey — and these have definitely done the trick. Easy on and off, too (always a bonus).

Our sons have wide feet, and our younger needs to wear foot/ankle braces. It seems like only the New Balance XW fits him for any shoes - other brands XW are just not wide enough. We love the generous area of velcro attachment that allows these to be a great fit, and we love how a toddler can't pull these out, as the two straps are attached to each other. New Balance has a variety of shoes available, but these are by far our favorite style for a toddler!

Love these little sneakers for my 16m son. Well made, velcro is long and seems strong. And they’re super cute and versatile. I followed the size chart and measured for width and the size fits great.

It’s extremely difficult to find shoes wide enough for my son’s feet. I typically order 7 at a time in hopes that one will fit. This was the one from the last batch and I’m so pleased with them. They fit his width and height, which is also sometimes a struggle to fit. He doesn’t trip in them and they seem pretty supportive. Pleased with this shoe!!

Best shoes for my active toddler!

My 4 year old son loves these sneakers. They are easy to teach how to put shoes on and off with one big velcro flap on each side with a solid hold. We got a grey and a navy pair and went with the navy because our son has been into blue more these days. They have a regular and wide width option as well which is nice. At his preschool, when the kids line up to walk it seems like many kids have the heel of their shoes stepped on and the heel popping out. We've never had that issue with these New Balance sneakers.

My son loves these shoes. They show a little more playground dirt than I would hope, but they seem to be the most comfortable shoes he has all around.

These were good shoes for my son and easy to get onto his feet. I ended up returning them in favor of a more minimalist shoe, but if I had needed more than one pair I would have kept these.

This shoe is great for wide feet! We ordered a size up and it accommodates his AFO on one foot well. I would highly recommend this shoe for AFO, braces or wide feet.

Got the extra wides for my 18 month old’s super fat feet. I tried this and a another pair of shoes on him and he wanted only these. Very cute. Can’t attest to its durability yet.
