These are great. We went with some Under Armour ones instead, but these are on our radar for the future. Seem like great support and quality. These will be great for learning how to tie shoes. They have good laces.

Great shoes! I’m just curious to why the shoe laces are so short???? You can barely tie them.

My 6yo loved these shoes so much she asked for another pair when she outgrew them. The laces didn’t last as long as the shoes but she was still able to tie them with little trouble.

Bought these for my 9 year old. After trying on 10 different pairs of sneakers she claimed these were the most comfortable. Her 9-10 year old friends all complimented her on the style.

I have been buying New Balance 888 XW for my granddaughter for about 3 years. This is the first pair that has an awful odor to them. Due to this, I am returning them. It will not deter me from buying more products from Zappos.

The shoes fit well. I do think they could be a little wider. But overall, no complaints!

We really liked these shoes except that we encountered a similar problem as a previous reviewer - the sole was malformed and uneven. One shoe in the pair rocked back and forth just a little when placed on a flat surface (a normal amount), but the other shoe was very uneven with a significant gap between the side of the back sole of the shoe and the floor. So we had to return and look for an alternate pair due to this problem. Hopefully New Balance will fix it in future runs of this shoe.

This shoe did not hold up at all! They did not last even three months and I had to buy new shoes for my daughter. Very disappointing!

The sole came unglued after only a week of wearing?!

I have been buying this NB shoe in xw for many years in various colors/styles because they are the best for using orthotic insert is for my daughter. However, I have ordered this shoe 2x now and both came with a defective rubber sole on one shoe where the machine must have cut off the rubber to closely to the shoe on one side making the shoe of balance. It wobbles when placed on flat surface due to missing rubber under plantar surface of sole of shoe.under. Not a good shoe bio mechanically for any child’s foot. Happened with 2 orders in a row so be suspect of all as defective. Do not Recommend
