I bought a pair of these pants about 20 years ago and wore them until recently when the lining started to deteriorate. I have a hard time finding pants long enough for my 33" inseam, but these pants are perfect! I'm 5'8", 140 pounds, with a slim build and the medium fits perfectly. I usually wear long johns or long johns plus another pair of warm pants under these and there is plenty of room. Everything seems to be about the same as my older version except this one has side pockets for my hands and I love that! I mostly wear them for hiking in the rain. Worth every penny and I hope these will last me another 20 years!

These pants were recommended to me by a dog walker/trainer. They do not disappoint. In rain and snow I stay dry walking my dog. They also protect from wind. I ordered a larger size than normal so I could fit other pants underneath comfortably. Saying that, I do not even need the drawstring on the pants so other reviewers may be accurate regarding small fit. I love these and am trying to figure out other uses. Perfect.

Precip Rain pants are waterproof in a light rain. Havent used them in a downpour yet. They run large in the waist. I gave this medium to my daughter who is 56 and 140. They fit her well over sweat pants.

I bought these to keep me dry walking the dog in our neighborhood and they keep me dry and protect me from the wind. I like the zipper pockets. After reading the reviews I sized up and I wish I hadnt, they are quite baggy and a bit on the long side but they serve their purpose.

These fit well and keep my legs dry. I live in rainy Oregon and am outdoors every day.

I can't say that I don't like these rain pants but I can't say I love them. They come in short and that is the reason I bought them. However I wish they were lined, unless I wear something under them they stick to my skin and I don't like that at all. They just need to be lined. I do recommend them to anyone need rain gear, just wear leggings under them. I didn't buy the jacket for the same reason, no lining. There are days when it's just to warm to wear leggings or something else underneath these pants. They do a great job of keeping you dry.

The waist is tight and unforgiving. Larger sizes have snap closings on the sides, but the Medium does not. Other than that, the overall fit is great. (For what it's worth, I do NOT have a potbelly, but also not a wasp waist.) I'll have to try a different brand.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
I ordered this brand (Marmot) pants and jacket along with LLBean pants and jacket both in a size medium. The difference in fit was significant. The Marmot was close to a size smaller. Would not have been able to wear another layer under the Marmot. On the other hand the LLBean was generously sized. I kept the LLBean.

These were way too small. I would size up at least one size due to the elastic waste band being super tight.
