I like these rain-proof pants so much that this is my 2nd pair, after using the 1st pair for 10+ yrs. The best feature, other than being waterproof, is that they zip the full length of the pants. SO, easy to get on or off over muddy hiking boots. I bought them a bit large to fit over lightweight hiking pants, but still good over a simple base layer when you're doing strenuous hiking and generating a lot of heat.

After reading other reviews, I decided to order a size larger than my normal (medium -> large), and I'm glad I did. While there is ample room without it being too large in the crotch, bum, or legs, I can easily fit jeans or insulated leggings underneath without feeling constrained. The elastic ankles keeps the pants from dragging on the ground or getting covered with mud.

Nice rain pants. Glad I sized up and went for the short length. I’m 5’4” and they were still almost long. The full zip feature is great.

These run a little small and a little long. Based on previous reviews I ordered one size up and the short length. I’m 5’4” and they could still be another 1/2”- 1” shorter. They work great for hikes in the rain. Pleased with my purchase.

This is my second pair of these. I have not yet had a chance to wear them because the weather has been nice. But what I love about them is that the fully separating zippers allow me to don and doff them without the need to tak my boots off and on. Even more importantly you make them in a short length (I am only 5'1") and that is the ONLY way this concept works. You cannot reasonably shorten rainpaints with a separating zipper--you have to start out with the correct length and not many companies cater to this need.

My wife and I both own these rain pants and we love them. I had to by a 2nd pair for my wife because she utilized her first pair almost daily when through hiking the AT last year.

I am 4'11", 100lbs and these are gonna work for me! Have not had the need to use them yet as I purchased them for a spring trip. Have tried them on to test out the full side zip feature. The side zip will be priceless when having to quickly get these pants on while NOT taking off hiking boots!

I wore these walking the Camino del Norte in the pouring rain. They kept me warm and dry and were super light to pack.

Great pair of waterproof/ windproof pants. Stayed warm and dry using these over my base layers in 40*F and rainy weather hiking.

Great rain gear but the length was too long for me and cannot be hemmed to a shorter length (aka 26" or 27"). The velcro closures at hem of pants did not raise the length enough so the pants would be dragging on the ground or worse, I could trip on them while hiking or walking.

I've owned several pair of Marmot rain pants in the past and all of them did a great job keeping out the rain. But my full-zip pants were old and bulky, and these weigh only 10 oz and fit over my hiking boots. The fit is perfect (5'6", 120 lbs, size Small), and I love the pockets for my phone and hankie. Marmot did a good job designing these pants, and although I haven't had them in the rain yet, if they work as well as my last 2 pair I will be happy.

Just moved to Juneau AK and boy is it wet. I knew within in a week that not having rain pants wasn't an option. I got these for their short length and full zip capabilities to put on and off with my boots. Would definitely recommend and they hold up to the rain for sure

I have been working outside 8 hours a day this summer and have worn these rain pants on the many days of heavy, unrelenting rain we have had this summer in Vermont. They are fairly breathable, comfortable, and definitely repel water for awhile in lighter rain. However, after several hours of constant rain, they do soak through and my legs and undergarments get wet. In contrast, my Gortex Marmot jacket keeps me dry even after an entire day in pouring rain! For this reason, I'm considering upgrading to the Marmot Gortex rain pants.

Liked the full-zip feature for ease of putting on over pants and boots, also the XS short length, for petite size women. I'm under 5 ft and weigh 92lbs. They covered the tops of my shoes without being too long. However, did not try them in the rain. Sadly, returned them, because the waist was too tight over other layers of clothes. A drawstring in the waistband could allow for a looser fit or option to tighten. They might have been great for the rainy days in the PNW in Oregon.

Love these pants - perfect for wearing as a rainproof shell and love the full-zip. I'm 5'3 and the short are still a _little_ long on the inseam, but better long than too short!

Material is lightweight, love the feature of full zip - makes putting on and taking off easy. Sizing for me was off. I am always a medium in pants. Typically a size 8. The medium was way too small. I returned and reordered a size Large.
