Customer Reviews New Balance Kids YP680v5 (Little Kid/Big Kid)

Everything about this shoes is great as well as most other new balance shoes in general. The problem with their brand for kids, is within two weeks the shoe falls apart. I've spent 100's of dollars on new balance shoes for my son who is an XW. I really wish someone else could dominate this market and make a good quality shoe for the price. Overall, my experience has been frustrating and has left me rather aggravated that it consistently wears out within the same amount of time.

While these shoes looked nice, they ran very big and wide. Tried exchanging for a smaller size and they were still too large overall. Slipped on the heel constantly. Ended up returning these and going with another style of new balance in the same size that fit perfectly. Sizing is very off on this shoe!

My son has very wide feet and new balance always delivers a shoe that fits and supports his feet!

I bought big kids 7 xw. My son has been wearing new balance 680 series for 5 years. He tried other brands, but this is his favorite. It has roomy toe boxes.

Like that it has a wider toe box than most other shoes.

My 7 year old loves these so much that when his feet grew he insisted that I buy the exact same pair in a larger size. The first pair lasted about 7-8 months of constant use. They were pretty worn out by the time that we replaced them, so we won't be passing them along. But we clearly love them since we ordered them again. Thanks new balance!

My kids love these shoes. We bought these same shoes before, and they've held up well for our active children.

Fit as expected

I just ordered the wrong size. These are a great shoe with tons of room in the toe box. Ladies, if you wear an 8.5 or 9 in women's shoes, try the boys size 7. They are the same great quality and MUCH less expensive.

My grandson loves these shoes; fit him perfectly.

Great shoes

My son wears AFO braces. NEW BALANCE seem to be the only shoe he can wear. I have to order several sizes to see what will fit when he gets new braces. Sorry Zappos. He seems to like them so far. It always has to be a XW to accomodate the braces, they did not have the velcro closure in his size. So we went with laces. Any ways, thats all. If your child wears afo's I recommend new balance XW. He has a very narrow foot, so without braces on, his feet float in these shoes.

My son loves the look & feel of these sneakers!

Both of my kids love New Balance sneakers. One of my boys has extra wide feet and New Balance are one of the only kinds of sneakers that fit him. My other son has regular width feet and he also like New Balance sneakers better than any other brand. They seem to last for about six months of hard, daily use. I do wish they were a little less expensive.

So much cuter in person! The black and green ones will match everything! My son has a super wide foot and hates shoes that pinch - he wears these!

Instep was not high enough for my child's orthotic inserts.

We had been purchasing another brand of shoes for years for my oldest child, until we found they were no longer lasting us three months. New Balance have been great for our active eight year old and have lasted through recesses, gym and all his outdoor activities. We’ve only had to replace them towards the end of the school year as they finally begin to wear out and he’s outgrown them to.

The shoes fit great and my son loved them. Unfortunately after 6 weeks of daily wear, they are falling apart. There are two large holes in the outside edge where the shoe meets the sole.

These look and fit great but unfortunately, after less than 3 months my child has worn holes in these shoes. They are not worn every day but the top by where the laces tie are torn already.
