threw on without washing. I'm 5-10 180 lbs with thick shoulders and this tee fits like a glove. no extra material to move around during a run/hike. the 56% merino/44% is the magic for no itch for me. the higher percentage of merino felt itchy immediately. The beauty is absolutely no stink. after too many "quick dry" stench fails, I've moved onto these. well well worth the money. Remember these are highly technical pieces of gear way improved since my 10+ year original purchases as far as fit and maintaining shape. Most of the old pieces are still around

Great workout shirt, light enough to run in but still has enough warmth to use in a cooler climate. Great job Smartwool!

So far it's worked very well, seems to wash nicely. Note I was concerned with the vented collar but it seems fine.

It's very humid here, can't stand to wear a cotton tee
shirt in these conditions.
These shirts wick and keep you comfortable and presentable.

I simply love Smartwool products altogether. These merino wool tee shirts are light, keep me cool, and they dry out quickly when I get caught in the rain doing all of my outdoor activities. They work great in layers as well. From hiking to canoeing to fly fishing in the back country and camping in the cold at higher altitudes: I would not travel without Smartwool in my kit bag or backpack.

So George Castanza would drape himself "in velvet if it were socially acceptable." He must never have experienced merino wool, and... it's totally acceptable. Wear more merino!

Great shirts; I can't stand to wear cotton in humid weather anymore.
Fit well, dry fast.

It's a wool blend. It has many of the characteristics that make wool the wonder fabric, but it dries faster than 100% wool.
This would be very good for travel or camping.

This is a hybrid wool garment. It dries noticeably faster than pure wool. It handles odors better than synthetics.
The design and fabrication are the quality I have come to expect from Smartwool.
My body is "ample", not trim or athletic. The shirt is comfortable on me.
If I could talk to the people who designed / made it, I would ask, "why do I see dots when I hold it up to light?"
I purchased two of these at the same time. I almost returned the first one until I looked at the second and discovered that the flaw was actually a design fluke - there are two tiny vent-like holes in the back of the shirt. Why? No clue.
I really like the shirts and would recommend them to friend.

I wear it as an under shirt for my uniform. Feels soft, great quality, and doesn't stink by the end of the shift no matter how much I sweat. I'm certainly going to by several to rotate through.

The fit was spot on for a large. This is my first wool shirt and I was not sure it would be worth the price but I have heard rave reviews for wool shirts so I decided to give it a try. I’ve worn this a handful of times and have been impressed. It does help maintain a comfortable temperature in both cool and warm temps and dries very quickly. It doesn’t hold a horrible smell like synthetic dry fit shirts and has been great when traveling/camping. I will be buying more of these shirts.

The shirt fit my husband good, but he didn't like the high neckline.

I love these merino wool Tees and have about 6 of them. In this case, this particular model is longer (a little too long) than previous tees I've bought. I'm 5'10", and this size "large" shirt covers almost the entirety of my back pockets(previous size "Large" fit me perfect). When sitting, it's awkward trying to get to my wallet, or my phone on my belt as they are covered by the bottom of this shirt, which I'm sitting on. It's still a great shirt, with the one exception noted.

Disappointed in the quality, the tee shirts use to be made of 100% Merino wool

I bought this and kept it because I needed a hot weather t shirt. It's good for that. But it's rough feeling, smells chemically (had to wash it) because it's not wool. So dissapointed in "smartwool". It aint smart. It's cheap. Lower quality and high price.
No more smartwool for me.
Being back pure 100% merino wool clothing. Make a micro light weave.
I'm going back to icebreaker and minus33. Icebreaker has some plasti wool too but they have a lot of pure merino wool. And minus 33 is pure merino.
