My 15 yo son has primarily worn Adidas for the last 5 years because they tend to fit his wide foot. Initial try on was a little tight, I said give it a go, they will loosen. After a first wear they rubbed so bad he had giant blisters and tender feet for 2 weeks healing. The rub was not on the heel, but below the ball mount of the big toe - both feet. So odd. My other son with more narrow feet also found them hard to put on.

I believed that I ordered am 11.5 wide shoe. Upon receipt, I went to try them on, and could not get my foot into the shoe. When I looked, the shoe was marked size 11.5, but nowhere did it show that it was a wide shoe. The other problem is the feature where Adidas secures the tongue of the shoe to the insole with elastic strapping, making it more difficult to put the shoe on. I have a similar pair of Adidas sneakers, and they cause me ankle pain with prolonged wear.
I'd also recommend:
Nike

Returned because I was hoping for a running show feel. The sole was heavy like a basketball shoe, and the heel protrudes a lot from the back. Great soft upper fabric. The heel cup also felt like you could slip out.
Not a casual sneaker, probably great for just tennis.

Fit fine, but not enough support for me and definitely not enough cushion

Because the tongue of the shoe is attached, the shoe felt more snug and narrow. At the same time we bought another shoe of the same size and that one fit better.

These are really nice but definitely not durable at all, after only three times wearing them the seams at the sides at the front of the trainers were pulling apart. I had to return them which wasn't ideal as I really wanted these trainers to last because they looked really good and were so comfy. The quality really didn't shine through and it's such a shame.

Could not put them on. There is no tongue, only an elastic strap under the laces. I have a high instep and could not put these on.

Fit and sizing was great, but the durability stinks. Worn only for tennis, these shoes developed holes in the fabric in 5 months.

Good quality but back too high and rubs and laces don t tie correctly way too long . Front tow shirt compared to total sneaker. Gave husband a rash from material

The fit and feel seemed OK when I first tried them on. I thought after breaking them in a bit they'd get better, but after playing 4 matches, I'm trying something else. My three main issues with this design:
1. The new lace design puts uncomfortable pressure on the top of my foot near the ankle while not allowing you to tighten the shoe well around the lower half of your foot (near toes).
2. Padding for the insoles, particularly near the toes, is lacking so hard stops (common in tennis) were painful.
3. My heel slides up and down constantly during play because of the lack of padding around the heel/ankle and because of whatever slippery material is used inside the shoe.
Pretty disappointing since I've been happy with the other Adidas tennis shoes I've bought and it looks like they did a major design overhaul on their shoes so I'm guessing I'll experience similar issues. Might need to switch to another brand.
