They sewed the sides of the tongue to the shoe! I couldn't even get my foot in comfortably! Whose stupid idea was that?

I could not get these shoes on! Don't let the laces fool you, the tongue is not a tongue, it is attached to the sides of the shoe. So it is a slip on with a very small opening. Despite loosening the laces as much as possible, I could not get my foot into the shoe. Also, I could not submit this review unless I rate the Comfort level -- which I don't know because I could not get the shoe on -- so I marked Comfort in the middle of the rating scale.

This shoe is very cute and comfortable. I had to go up a half size like I do for Nike Free’s. My only complaint with this shoe is that it is a bit tough to put on so I am not sure I will keep it. I like ease in putting shoes on and taking them off.

I agree with other reviews, hard shoe to get on. Just not comfortable.

I’ve been wearing these to workouts for about two weeks now and so far so good! I really like them. Lightweight, bouncy and fast feeling. Lots of cushioning without being “too” much. They feel great on the treadmill. Haven’t worn them to run outside in yet. I added the New Balance extra cushion arch support (I always add them to my shoes) and that combo feels awesome together. There is no tongue, but the bootie fit of the shoe is probably one of my FAVORITE features. I can see how it might not be for everyone though. One of the issues I’ve had with other shoes is heel slippage especially when doing the rower at workout. These keep my heel locked in place and feel snug without being too tight. Also, I wanted to show the navy color. I’m not really a fan of navy on shoes, but these were really cute in person. It’s a super dark navy, almost black, and I love the purple color.

This is an unusual shoe as the tongue is attached and makes it very difficult to insert your foot into the shoe. But once you conquer this obstacle or purchase a shoe horn, the shoe is very comfortable and fun to wear. Just be prepared to wrestle with the heel. I am very glad a bought a size up on the shoe because if i have bought my normal size the shoe would have been shipped back. I have arthritis in the toes and a bunion on one foot so the comfort of the shoe is very important. Somehow there is a flaw in the design as no shoes should be as difficult to place on your foot unless you were being fitted by the prince looking for Cinderella. The prince would have found it difficult to place on Cinderella's foot and then there were be no happy every after.
