I liked these boots at first sight stylish and by Frye. But in my regular size 7they slipped on the back of my heel when I walked in them. This made them uncomfortable and I tried them with and without socks. So sorry to have to return, just never felt good enough to keep.

They ran a little large, especially once they broke in a little.

Finally after trying at least 15 low cut boots, this one finally fits length and width and is the right height at the ankle. I normally wear Borns, but nothing seemed to fit at all. Usually I am a 7.5-8, but the 8 was perfect. Love the weathered, vintage look.

My only problem with these cute boots was that the metal ring hit me right on the ankle bone.

Based upon other reviews I ordered a 9 vs 9.5. It’s snug in the toe box so returning for 9.5. Great style. I hope the 9.5s work.

Too big

Great fit, look, comfort and quality. BUT, I rarely wear them because of the design. The ring opening is big, so I can’t wear them in weather (feet would get wet) and I wouldn’t wear them without socks (doesn’t look or feel right). They’re not boots, they’re not sandals.

I buy most of my footwear through Zappos and I usually am pretty happy. This bootie, however, while well made, is sized so oddly. I tried my usual size 7 and it was too big. Ordered down to a 6.5 and it seemed even bigger than the 7. The 6.5 did not come in the Frye box and there were some scuff marks on the bottom of the shoe as if it had been worn. The bootie is really cute though; just the sizing for me was off.

I took the advice of other reviews and ordered down ½ size. I am a solid 8.5 N but even ordering an 8, my feet were swimming. I feel like a 7 may have been a better fit but just returned them since the color was also strange. I got the light brown but instead of looking weathered, they just looked like they had a bad spray paint job. Disappointed!
