I got an XL since reviewers said it ran small and I have big hips, but it was too big and boxy. (I typically wear a M-L shirt size and size 12-14 pants. Pear-shaped.) I was in love with the photos of this jacket, but in person the fabric is stiff and noisy, kind of rustly (probably due to being water-resistant or whatever). Also, the cinch ties at the waist didn't do much to make it more flattering, but maybe that's just because it was too big. On the fence about whether I'll buy a L instead or just try a different jacket :(

This coat is boy-cut - straight and narrow through the hips and broad shoulders. Do not recommend if you are hourglass or pear shaped, not a comfortable or flattering cut for those shapes. Check out the other North Face raincoats for a better cut.

Great rainy jacket

My jacket I bought is perfect! I love it! It fits perfectly,it keeps me nice & dry when it's raining. I would recommend to everyone to purchase this jacket.

I wear this jacket in the city during rainy weather. It's completely waterproof. Looks stylish. Recommend layering up in cold weather.

I wear this jacket regularly. It is great in the rain keeps me warm and dry. Lots of pockets for phone and dog treats. Gotta walk the pup rain or shine. Fits nicely and can wear it dressed up or down.

I wore this jacket over a sweater to sled in the snow and it was nice, comfortable, and kept me dry. I much prefer this over a really heavy jacket.

This is perfect for rainy weather and loose enough to layer. I wore this on a trip to the Rockies in the summer. Looks very stylish too! Runs slightly big but I wouldn't size up

I typically wear a medium/8/10 but sized up to a large after reading some of the reviews. For reference I am 5'4, 155 lbs, 34C-29-41 measurements. I think the medium would have been just fine, though I'll keep the large since I don't mind the relaxed look. Size up only for a relaxed fit or to layer over thick sweaters/multiple other layers (I could wear this over a denim jacket if I wanted to) - basically, size up only if you want your jacket a size up. I also see some comments about the jacket being loud - it's no more rustly than any other waterproof jacket I've owned. I find the sleeves a little long but I am also a little short so am used to this problem. Haven't worn it out yet as Oregon is currently on fire (fingers crossed for rain this week) but it looks well-made and I imagine will be great for long wet walks and casual hiking.

Finally a lightweight stylish jacket that is both windproof and waterproof. I also like that this jacket is lined. For reference I'm 5'3, 116 lbs, 34A and purchased a small in new green taupe. It's becoming my favorite color and it's so versatile and neutral. The small fit true to size. It even fit nicely over last years version of TNF's crescent hooded pullover (the one with the cowl neck and toggles). The length hits just a little below my hips and the cinch waist is just slightly higher than my belly button. It's a perfectly lightweight layering piece that adds a little style to any outfit. I want one in navy and black too!

I have used this jacket in the rain yet but i love the style and fit! I can't wait to try it out. My only negative is that i wish there were inside pockets.

This is a great Wind Breaker/Rain jacket. Fits very comfortably and it's stylish. Pockets are very nice and accessible. Will be getting more for the family.

I got this jacket for my casual fit. This jacket goes to everyday. I got black. I wear this with my plaid shirts that makes very stylish. I love the quality of the north face products. I usually wear size small for the north face but I got medium for this jacket. It fits very well with layers. I also wear the north face black vest under this jacket when I feel cold. That is also very stylish.

Since we are having such a rainy Spring I decided to get myself a fun raincoat. I love it, and now when it is raining I am not in as bad as a mood!!!
