Bought these for my daughter for her 17th birthday. Sinclair style was the only thing she wanted. Black was unavailable so I got this dark red and she loves them even more. They are a very dark red; no purple. She regularly wears a US 9 in women’s shoes. I bought two sizes; she kept the EU 39. One size up was huge unless she was wearing cabin socks. 39 felt snug at first and we were concerned. She initially said if there was a half-size in between it would have been perfect. She has now been wearing them a month. They have broken in and the size is good. At first she had to wear taller socks to protect from rubbing/blisters. They are unbelievably cute and we have zero regrets with style, color, or size.

Loved the style and look of these shoes but they were tight at the top and I wasn’t sure they would break in or if I could handle the pain of it all! Haha. Back they go.

Wow. I've owned several pairs of Doc Martens in my life and these are the only pair that I would say are horrible in quality. Stiff, almost like a board. I cannot try them and see if they soften up, not for $200. Returning for something more comfortable.

Fit a little larger than expected. Love the unique leather color.

Definitely size down a half size. I normally wear an 8.5 and size up to a 9 in Docs, but I got an 8 and they fit perfectly. These boots are SO cute and I love them so much, but they definitely do take a bit of breaking in. I would recommend two pairs of socks for the first week, but overall LOVE these!

These boots are awesome!!! The fit is roomy, but I like that. My only complaint is the break in period to get the leather less stiff, but this is the price you pay for a quality, long lasting pair of DM's.

I went by the reviews and ordered one size up. Bad idea, the boot was extremely big and bulky. I’m returning for my regular size.

I always size down in Docs. I am a women’s 9 in Vans, 8.5 in converse, and a 9 in most athletic shoes, so I’ve gotten an 8 in three pairs of Docs and they fit perfect. I love these shoes and they are so stylish. The only issue is that they still haven’t broken in well yet, and are taking much longer than my other Docs. I think this is due to the larger sole and zipper in the front so it doesn’t get as tight around the ankle. They are perfectly comfortable but if I walk more than a mile in a day (for errands or parties) I get super bad blisters. I still have hope and still like them a lot.

Absolutely love the look of these boots. I ordered these after buying the Jadon's in black. The cherry color is beautiful in person, and I like that the Sinclair boot can be worn with or without the zipper piece. I was able to go one full size down in both styles. Neither pair feels stiff to me, so I don't think they need to be broke in. But they are very heavy on the foot, don't plan on doing any running in either!

Now that she has the dark red, she’s glad and says she prefers it to black. She wears a 9 and her feet lean towards wide. We ordered an 8 and a 9; the 9 was huge except with cabin socks so she kept the 8. It’s fine but needs a lot of breaking in-she says if it came in a half size in between it would have been perfect. But aside from the iffy sizing (and huge price tag), we are satisfied with the purchase...they are SO cute with everything!

I normally wear a womens US 7 in Doc Martens, but when I ordered these, they were too small. I would advise getting a size or half size up. Other than that, the shoes are sick!!!!

I ordered these for my (non-binary gender) teen for their birthday; they'd picked out the Sinclair, but something told me to order the Leona as well, just in case. I have the Dr. Martens Leona boots and my teen loves them, has often borrowed even though my feet are 1/2 size bigger. Sure enough, the Sinclair boots are absolutely gorgeous, hefty and shiny and macho-chic with cool, edgy details...but they have 2 drawbacks: 1), the high-gloss cherry leather looks great but squeaks REALLY LOUDLY when you walk, I actually cannot imagine how on earth that would ever break in, and 2) they are SUPER uncomfortable, flat as a board inside and just as hard and stiff as one, too. Luckily, the Leonas in Antique Cherry were also gorgeous, plus a perfect fit and comfortable right out of the box (always go with your instinct!). Both pairs are consistent with Dr. Martens sizing, that is, they're slightly more than 1/2 size too big and, frustratingly, do not come in half-sizes (WHY Dr. Martens, WHY!?!?!?). My teen is an 8 in women's, occasionally a 7.5, so I ordered both of these in a UK size 5 and that was the perfect fit.

I ordered my regular size but ended up too much room. A size down would probably fit better. Another major problem of the boots is that the top part of the zipper, like the other reviewer had mentioned, was super hard and hurting my legs so badly if I zipped all the way up and walked. It was impossible to have the zipper all up and walked. The leather is too hard and durable, I honestly don’t think it’s gonna break in even after a period of time.
