Just like all Docs but a little softer leather which I like. Less break in time.

I wear a size 8 normally, but usually size up if I want to wear socks. I read the reviews and ordered an 8, which fit comfortably with socks on. I can still wiggle my toes a bit, which is how I like to wear my shoes. This Pascal style was comfortable to wear right out of the box.

These shoes are adorable and a game changer. I’ve been a big fan of the looks of Doc Martens boots, but in the past, the leather was too tough for my thin and sensitive skin. These ones with soft leather are utterly heaven. The size is fine. I always stretch the right boot because of a foot issue, but they are exactly the size I wanted and excepted. I bought the dark purple ones, but I thought all four colors were great.

The 8 UK does fit like a EU 42 in my opinion. The leather is soft and supple. The color is saturated and lovely. The heel is soft and springy feeling. I didn't want to take them off.

I own several pairs of Docs but I will say the Virginia soft leather requires no break in which is a plus. The purple is a true rich purple.

The fit and size were great, unfortunately the leather texture really messed up the look for me. It was difficult to make out in the online photos, but it's not a smooth leather, there's a grain to it. I was bummer, they're REALLY comfortable. I was able to just re-box the boots and drop them off at UPS. Zappo's processed my refund pretty quickly and I have no qualm s about using them in the future.

Super soft leather, very comfortable. I love docs, but I wanted these in particular, as the black thread instead of the classic yellow allow these to have a dressed up look. I’ve worn these to work every day (I’m a lawyer) with slim pants and oversized suit coats. You can wear these with jeans, leggings, etc. I’ve worn them everyday for a couple weeks and they are still in perfect condition. I tie them loosely and they still are cozy and stay on the feet. They’re perfect.

So comfortable I could live in them. My first pair of Docs but definitely not my last!

I like this Mono style of Docs as the leather is very soft--minimal break in. This pair has the same issue for me as all Dr Marten boots. Too tight where the tongue is sewn into the toe. I do not understand why they cannot make them roomier at this point. I do not have high arches or a wide foot. I have to take out the insole so that tortuous seam area does not dig into the top of my foot. Getting a size larger does not help--boot too big and that seam still digs in. I also like these because they have grainy leather--rather than smooth.

I love this boot but I tried a size 9 and it was too small. I ordered a 10 iand it is too large so I just can't wear this boot and I'm so sad!

These boots are just what I was looking for. The only issue I’m having is they really dig in at my heel. They fit everywhere else, so I’m hoping I can break them in with thick socks. They’re perfect otherwise.

As previous reviewers said these are buttery soft. Unfortunately it was tight across the top of my foot as others have said. I’ll be returning - darn it. On a positive they would have been comfortable on my bunion!

Roomy toes but super tight where the stitching is across the top of the foot (the bottom of the laces). It’s most likely a me problem rather than the shoe because I’ve had an issue with another pair of shoes. The shoes are extremely nice in person, but I must sadly return them.

Found the seam at the bottom of the laces very tight and uncomfortable, regardless of how loosely they were laced. Very cute but had to return.

These boots are small, narrow, and aren't good for high insteps. I originally ordered a UK 5, as that is the size recommended for a Euro 38- this pair was impossibly small and painful and my toes touched the front. I got a pair UK 6's and these did seem to be the right size lengthwise, but the design just isn't for people with high insteps, unfortunately.

As previously noted, fits too tight across top of foot. Breaking them in won't solve the problem. I'm a true US/Women's 8.5. It was suggested to size down. Wondering if I return for US size 9, perhaps it will have a bit more give in problem area. If not, bummer. Really nice look and love the soft leather.

The fit was great, super comfortable. The texture of the leather reminded me of the shoes worn by middle-managment-types to the degree that I just can't vibe with them.

I received the wrong size. When this boot came back in stock I ordered the last available pair in my size. When I tried the boots on I wondered why they felt snug when I'm always a size 8. I have another pair of size 8 Dr. Martens boots, great fit. Ah I see...these are a size 7 in a box for a size 8. Quality control. Adding an errand to my day tomorrow to get these returned. I'm ordering direct from Dr. Martens this time.

Design flaw-- read about it on many reviews-- where the tongue is attached. It digs into your feet.
