Perfect just size up because it's tight by the thighs were it turns into shorts

These are perfect hiking pants. They're lightweight and convertible. I get some good movement through the thighs (not too restrictive).

I had a difficult time finding good convertible pants in a short length. I am a little over 5'3" and these pants in short length are the perfect length for me. The shorts are a nice length for active outdoor activities and the roll up feature with tab is an added bonus. The pants are comfortable and seem durable. In addition to hiking, I plan to use them for travel. I have two minor criticisms. The color coded zippers on the legs are nice, but I would have preferred a more subdued color than the red on the right leg, which does stand out a little much. Also, there is a funny little zippered pocket inside the right hand pocket that I find impossible to use, since I cannot fit my hand inside of it. Overall, I love these pants and wish they were available in more colors in my size. I would definitely recommend and would purchase again.

I am my daughter's soccer coach and I use these pants for training with the team and I feel really comfortable.

Bought these for an upcoming backpacking trip. Fit wonderfully everywhere, hips, waist, all good. Material feels good, zip offs to nice longer length shorts. The short is perfect for a 5'3" person!

I've tried other brands hiking convertible pants, but these are the best! I keep ordering in more colors!

I love how they feel except for the zipper I think it's needs to felt less in the inside of the pants, overall love them and how they feel

5' 1" 114 lbs with some curves. I wear 25" jeans and based on the reviews opted for a S instead of XS for these pants. Arrived today, tried on and they are flattering and comfortable. Purchased for hiking in Peru. Wanted the ease of convertible pants. I am looking forward to wearing them.

I wear it mainly at the farm

I bought these pants to take with me on my next adventure which is Mount Kilimanjaro! They were not available in my required size in-store so I placed an order through the store and received these pants within 48 hours. They feel super comfortable and I am able to move freely which is important for me considering where I will be wearing them. They are light weight but warm and I feel confident in wearing them.

I was looking for field working pants due to my job in developments projects. And this pants are such the best deal ever for it, because it looks good and feel very comfortable, the fabric is fantastic in warm and humid climate. I really love it and definitely gonna buy it more!!

I bought these while I was visiting the U.S. in May. I live in Taiwan where I do a lot of hiking and where the summer/spring can be miserably muggy. I was a bit apprehensive that the pants would be too hot and clingy for the climate here but have not found that to be the case. I can walk around Taipei and stay reasonably comfortable and find them indispensable for hiking up the mountains. I need to order several more!

Really nice piece of clothing. They run a little small so had to exchange it for a larger size. But overall, very good.

These pants are great, the material is very smooth and they fit like a glove! I havent tried them in a real hiking setting, but I am sure they will be super comfortable!

As per my comment, I am 5'8" and I'm never sure if a regular length will be long enough or if a tall will be too long. The online fit guide (which takes height and weight, but also age (which affects where we carry our weight, unfortunately, into account) accurately recommended a regular, which is just right!

Great lightweight pant for outdoor adventures. Durable and quiet material.

These pants are the bomb! First, they come in "Long" length! I'm 6' tall, female, and have an athletic (and curvy) build. The additional length is perfect! I ordered these pants to hike in, as I spend a lot of time in very remote areas, many of which are in the National Parks. I'm headed to Denali National Park for a week of heavy duty hiking and these pants will be in my bag! The zip off feature is wonderful. It's an easy conversion from long pants to shorts, then back again ... as the weather dictates. So far, no problems with zippers, etc. Fabric is durable, light, and allows just the right amount of movement! I'm in love with these pants, and I'm tough to please!!! Thanks, North Face!
