This coat is wam without being super bulky

I originally purchased this jacket in a size large, which is my normal size for jackets (I sometimes even wear mediums). It fit, but felt snug and I wasn't able to wear heavier layers underneath, like a sweater or a fleece. I wore it a couple of times and decided it was just too tight and decided to return it. Customer Service was excellent; even though the jacket had been tested out a couple of times and tags were off, they allowed me to send it back free of charge. I ordered an XL and it was promptly delivered. The fit was much better and I am thrilled with my jacket. Perfect for a light layer in the summer rain, and can also work in the winter with the fleece lining zipped in. I've also worn just the inside layer as a fleece in the fall. I will get a lot of wear out of this 3-in-1 jacket! Thanks North Face!

I just recently started college in UC Davis and I am from Southern California so I didn't realize how cold it actually gets over here. This jacket is so warm and I don't even feel like I am wearing it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good winter jacket for this season.

My husband got this for me before going to New York! It was great for the wind and snow we encountered. I absolutely love the colors and functionality of the jacket. I was able to stay nice in warm in the higher altitudes of the mountains as well as during the time we spent in the city.

Great mid-weight jacket. Highly recommend! I'm glad I got a size up so I can layer underneath. Otherwise, my "normal" size would have been a perfect fit too.

This jacket is amazing! it does keep you warm in the cold weather!! and the inside is sooo soft!!

I love this jacket. Purchased because I have been an avid wearer of Patagonia Nano Puffs. Found this North Face TriClimate Jacket to be much warmer and sturdier. Waterproof with an inner shell that is very warm. Perfect for any type of wet weather, snow or rain. I purchased the Green/blue combo and love the colors together!

I have been wanting this jacket for a few months. I finally purchased it, and I love it! I would definitely recommend this jacket to anyone who likes a jacket that feels light, but still keeps you warm and dry.

I LOVE this jacket!!! The inner jacket is so soft , the pockets are roomy and it's so comfortable. I'm glad I went with the XL even though the size chart said I should get a LG. The greens are really sharp looking together .

I live in upstate New York and this jacket is perfect for fall, when it is brisk but not parka weather.

I found myself in need of a jacket for these cooler days and decided to buy this product. The lightweight description is what really sold me on it. I can wear this to the gym over my clothes and feel comfortable. I also wear this to work with a light sweater underneath because the AC in my office is always running. Regardless, my body maintains a normal temperature, I can easily move around, and be quite comfortable. The ONLY thing I don't care for is the wrist snaps holding the inner lining of the jacket in. This is the only jacket/coat I've gotten from this company that if I wear a sweater the snaps pull loose when taking off the jacket. It is kind of annoying to fix every time I wear a sweater but the overall comfort means more to me than getting my wrist snapped every few days.

I bought this coat for my daughter, as an early Christmas gift. She had a North Face 3 yrs ago but unfortunately it was stolen while she was at work. She and my granddaughter are going to Chicago this weekend so I'm giving it to her before she goes. I bought my granddaughter a North Face 2 weeks ago, so they'll both be warm in the Windy City! Great quality!

Great jacket. My husband bought it for me for my birthday and I love it. It is versatile, looks great and is very warm.

Lovely green shell and light green fleece. Nice slim fit that's neither bulky nor constricting. Very versatile with well-designed, thoughtful features (pocket placement, zipchords, fitted hood).
