Fits perfect for what I was looking for. I'm 5"10, 135 with athletic shoulders and long arms. Purchased a large and it's perfect!!! Love the color and everything else about this jacket.

Great jacket to wear around town and during adventures. Material is soft and quiet. Easily packable too!

Bought this in Beaver Creek, CO, early October. Use as my "dress casual" Jacket for cool/rainy/windy days... lining is soft and temp neutral so you don't get a shock if you put it on with bare arms... need a warm base layer under if its is windy/cooler.... I get compliments every time I wear it and everyone wants to know style info so they can buy!

Wore it in the pouring rain a couple times so far as kept me dry. I like how it is a little longer so it keeps my thighs and butt dry. The only thing I don't love is how it fits in the armpits, it is a little snug, but I have broad shoulders so it may just be my body. I am a small in everything North Face ordinarily, but I initially ordered a medium in this based on reviews that it runs small. The medium was huge and the small fits almost perfectly, so for me this was true to size.

My intentions for the jacket was for hikes or backpacking in rainy weather but I have also wore them just casually for work and it does the main job which is keeping me dry and blocking the wind. Because of the long cut of the jacket it makes it difficult to sit down cause it right about where the finger tips are so the zipper does bulge up in the front. I did read the reviews to size up a size cause they do run small as well as the women cut for the waist. I did end up going to the actual store to find the jacket itself to try it on. My jacket sizes are mediums but their mediums restricted arm motion (be mindful of the material) so I did end up sizing up to a large. A large was much more comfortable and roomy. I'm the type that usually runs cold so I could easily fit another layer under.

This is a totally waterproof jacket - not just water resistant. I live in Seattle so that's an important thing. The bad news is that if I'm working hard I absolutely roast in it - have to unzip, zip, unzip, etc. There is no ventilation under the arms. The only other thing is that I would like to see it have a small breast pocket like my other jackets. I usually wear a S or M and bought a M in this jacket so I could wear a warm layer underneath. Too cold without the sweater and too hot with.

Nice fit. Keeps me dry. I sized up to fit down midlayer for warmth. The fabric is quite substantial...but not stiff, very pliable and fabric like. The blue color is gorgeous.

Love the look. Wish this jacket was a little roomier in the hips. I'm 5'1, 115 lbs and I can just zip this up with jeans. If I size up, it'll be long in the arms. So I stuck with the XS but can't wear with anything heavy underneath to layer.

I would totally recommend this product but found it to run small. I am 5'6 and usually wear a size small and had to size up to medium because arms and overall fit of jacket felt too small and constricted to be able to wear clothes underneath.

I'm very petite, usually wear XS no matter what, and I do not have a large rear end. But this XS is so tight and narrow around my rear that it rides up when zipped. Unless I shove my hands in the pockets and push downwards, I have to continually tug the jacket down to prevent the middle from bunching up. A 2 way zipper would completely solve this, I almost thought about putting one in myself, but that's crazy for such a high-priced item. The hood is also very small, doesn't allow for anything on your head (hair clip, hat.) And lastly, the photo of the model makes the jacket appear to have a nicely-hanging, empire-waist look to the jacket, but it is not that way in real life. Not sure how to describe it, but overall I'm disappointed. Sad face!

I like the material and design, but sleeves were too short, body was boxy and hood was too small. Will be returning.

Bought this for an every day rain jacket, with hopes to wear in the city as well as on the trail. Loved the color and overall fit (though agree with others that it is a tad snug- I usually wear a small in tops, sweaters, etc, and definitely was glad I got the medium so that it was big enough to wear over a sweater). However, the hood is laughably small. When pulled up over a high bun, it barely reached my forehead (and my head is not particularly large) and felt tight, like it was pulling down on my bun the whole time. Since this is how I wear my hair 9 days out of 10, it wasn't something I could compromise and ended up returning the jacket.

I love North Face and have been wearing it for more than 30 years. I have at least 5 North Face vests that I wear all year around. I went up 2 sizes (to an XL) for this jacket and while it zipped up I could not wear a heavy sweater or a vest underneath the jacket and still move even relatively freely. It is too constricting in the shoulder and other upper areas. Beautiful color and fabric but I think you need to be tall and thin to wear it. The label on the jacket when it arrived said Slim Fit. Believe it. I have ordered another jacket that says it is the classic or regular fit so I am hoping the fit is better.
