I bought two pairs of these a month ago and loved them at first - great colors, good style, length isn't perfect but I'm between a regular and a tall (I'm 5'8, 130lbs, and ordered size 2 Regular). Within two weeks one of them had torn at the knee during a hike and both had stretched so much that I could probably size down yet again. More importantly, the pockets are tiny and there's no way I can carry my phone, credit card case, and single car key. It's so hard to find good pockets and I expect way more from companies that make outdoor athletic apparel, especially on casually-fitted pants such as these. Wish I hadn't paid so much for these as I'm very disappointed.

Fantastic fit! Comfortable. Love the drawstring waist because I have a very small waist and have a hard time finding pants that fit. They feel very durable but soft and flexible. These are my new favorite pants!

These pants are fine and flattering if you are taller than 5'3. Because of my height, they were too high wasted and too long.

I initially only had one pair of these pants and I loved them so much I had to buy another. Great to climb in, great to hang out at the crag in. The pants have enough room for plenty of movement and they look great, too. I recommend these to anyone who likes to forget they're even wearing pants.

Love the fit and feel of these pants. I'm 5'9" and around 140lbs and the size 4 reg fits great. Perfect length and love the drawstrings at the bottom of the pant leg. The first day I wore them, I got a compliment on how good they looked. I got the green color and originally bought for two upcoming trips where I'll be doing a lot of hiking in jungle. I can't wait to pack these but will also wear them in my everyday life because I like them so much!

These pants are better than jeans; much better than sweats; they are so comfortable; yet very durable; they breathe superbly, love the fact that you can cinch around the ankle; plus the "hidden draw-cord" in the waist band make wearing options endless as you can adjust the waist, dress them up or down; wear them for working out, hiking, paired with the right top; these pants could even be worn to an elegant outing! These are such a superb blend of both sports, casual, outdoor, indoor wear; I now own two pair!

Recently moved to climbing outdoors and shredded my best pair of leggings in the process (Girlfriend Collective). Realized even if I love leggings for the support & mobility they provide, there's no way they'll last on the rock and support the risks I need to take to be a better climber.
I looked for ages for a pair of climbing pants I liked:
1. they had to be durable
2. reasonably priced (I'm poor)
3. a good fit (I have a 14" difference between my waist & hips, plus I'm short)
4. I had to love the style (I wasn't into a lot of the "hippie"/"stoner"/"grunge"-style climbing pants I was coming across with a lot of loud colors, branding, and/or art emblazoned on the pants)
After months of searching, here popped up these, and they were perfect:
1. durable fabric, almost like canvas, so they can take a beating, yet still comfortable and soft.
2. great price for the quality! (it's North Face! Score!)
3. adjustable pant leg opening plus a drawstring at the waist let's me tighten these pants how I need without worrying they'll adjust mid-climb
4. the style is super straightforwardsimple, good pants! I loved them. Can wear them outside of climbing as well and not feel out of place. Their simplicity feeds their versatility.
My only complaints have to do with me, and not North Face or the pants themselves, but IF you are curvier & shorter (< 5'4") like me:
I highly recommend holding out for a short length version of these if you can. They were sold out of Short in my size when I got them. Regular works just fine, but Short would've been perfect for a more above-shoe or ankle-length style. Right now they're floor-length, so I use the adjustable leg opening straps.
As for curves, the drawstring is very strong and stays in place on my waist. If you don't like all the excess fabric bunching there, I threw these in a hot water wash w a high heat dry after; they shrunk enough to minimize the excess but still fit overall.
Fantastic pants. Hoping to buy another pair soon.

Love the texture and drawstring at the bottom of the pant legs to make it more of a style. I only wish there was a better side pocket for my phone.

I love these pants but they fit really small. I usually wear a 8/10 and had to get a 12.

Bought 2 pairs the second one was the khaki
Khakis run shorter than this darker grey
Both pair easily with casual and hike wear
They do not dry well when wet, as evidenced by the rain and sleet we were caught in Scotland trip while out at a lookout. Soaked thru much faster than my kids north face hike pant which repelled water sure wish these had.
Very comfortable and resist dirt, don’t hold heat so good for warm days
They do run shorter and I am 5’9” 145 lbs thin with curves
Khakis run shorter than the dark grey
I’m going to water proof with aftermarket product for future

I love these pants and have worn them several times now for both climbing and hiking. They do stretch out quite a bit. I am 5'5.5" and 147 pounds and ordered a size 10 as I didn't think they'd be so stretchy. I probably would be great with a 8 and maybe even a 6. I would recommend them but if you can try them in on store first that may be preferable. Also wish they had more lower leg side pockets, they have none currently.

I just got these pants this week and I was really excited because I love the cut and the styling of them. However, I don't know if I got a bad pair or not, but several threads on the inner thigh seam of the pants are loose and fraying, which is heartbreaking. The pants were like that out of the package, sadly. This was my first time buying The North Face and I'm kind of disappointed about the quality. But if you don't get a defective pair, I'm sure they are 100% great.

Wonderful fabric- soft peached cotton feel - cute drawstring and detail on back. Adorable stitching. These are exactly what I have been looking for EXCEPT, sob, for the really high rise mom jean look. I am 5'11" and tried a size 6. If you like high rise - these are great pants. I even ran up and down the stairs a few times and they are don't pull anywhere - perfect hiking pants but cute enough to wear around town. Please make a low rise ones .

I really wanted to love this product however the first time I wore it I had it on for about an hour and the climbing gym and the fabric stretched out almost immediately. I ordered a size 4 and after an hour of climbing it was extremely baggy around my waist and hips. Not only that, but I looked in the mirror and realized every single drop of sweat had been soaked into these pants leaving me with giant sweat marks all down the back of my legs. I changed into different pants to keep climbing because it was so embarrassing. Wish I could return.
