I have been wearing Teva Sandals for over 30 years, always size 12. Purchased the men's Strata Universal and put them on when they arrived. Something was wrong! My big toe hung over the front end of the sandal. And the heel was appropriately placed. Measured them against my other Teva sandals; the Strata sandals were smaller. The appeared to be an 11.5 not a 12. So, sent them back for an exchange thinking it was a manufacturing or labeling issue. While waiting for the replacement Strata sandals, bought a pair of Terra Fi5 Universal sandals. They fit just fine, exact same fit as all those other size 12 sandals I have purchased. The replacement Strata sandals arrived. Huh... They say size 12 but they are NOT size 12. This time sent them back for a refund and I'll find another pair of sandals.

Second pair that the sole tore off in less than a season...very comfy and nice fit but for that price poorly assembled.

+ I really liked the softness in the heel's sole. + Lightweight. + Feels like walking on air, very bouncy and shock absorbing. -- Only on the right side, the buckle is just too high. Other models have a lower buckle so not an issue there. - Didn't enjoy the too much material wrapping all around the feet, most of the other models are more lean, minimal and airy. - Color was a bit less impressive in-person.

The side strap has torn away from the sole with less that a year of use. They are so comfortable, but I cannot afford a pair a year.Teva quality has been unacceptable for more than 5 years as this happens on every pair of sandals I get from them. I've called them and they say they know about the issues, but they don't do anything to fix the problems. Shame on you Teva!

I hike northern AZ and southern Utah frequently. With that said I really wanted these sandals to work because of the soles and the quick drying of the materials. The fit was fine I normally wear a size 9-1/2 and I usually do well with Teva's size 9. The fit as far as the foot bed was okay. Wherein lies the problem at least for me was that the outside buckle on both sandals was too high and they bit into my ankle immediately. I have 4 pairs of Tevas and you would think that Teva woulld realize that that with a soft sunken sole in the heel that they should not fit the buckle higher than they do on other sandals. As the title intimates, I really wanted to like them but I had to return them.

Be forewarned, if you buy these: The first time you wear them, you should wear them inside your house for a few hours to see if they cause blisters. The rubber (or other synthetic material?) "cushion" on the inside of the points at which the straps come together caused blisters for me. Adjusting straps made no difference. I can only wear these sandals with socks (which is hardly why I bought them), and because I wore them outside the first time I wore them, I cannot return them.

Have hade shoes less than 2 months and Velcro is already coming loose on both straps that go over top of foot. This would not happen if the strap and Velcro had a simple stitch to hold the Velcro in place. Other than this design flaw, I'm pleased.

I purchased a pair of these shoes 13 months ago. The strap came clean out of the sole. Unfortunately their warranty only covers the first 12 months so I'm totally out of luck. I highly recommend trying another brand.

Had basically the same shoe (Teva) from 2005. Best sandal I've ever had. Finally wore them out. Ordered these and was amazed how undersized (small) they were. I returned and got Terra Fi 5 Universal (same size 14D) . They fit perfect & $20 cheaper, Not leather, but???

Like others, the ankle clip is too high so that it digs into your ankle. Everything else was great, but it's a fatal flaw in the design.

The photo of this item is considerably different from the item actually received. The website shows these sandals as having multiple white/light gray highlights: midsole, strap tabs, strap retaining pieces and the TEVA label itself. The item received had dark gray in all these places making the sandal look virtually completely black (the logo was yellow). Additionally, the straps were very stiff. I've owned lots of TEVA brand shoes and sandals but never received an item that was misrepresented. Caveat emptor.

Very comfy until I walked through the Big Sur River onto a dirt path down to a sandy beach . I have had scabs all over my feet since . Healed , tried again , rinsed them and they just hold on to the grit and cut up my skin . Total fail : (

On the the phone 3 different times! One just hung up on me.. might not have been her fault but couldn't figure out where my order was. 3rd person very nice and really tried hard and after 37 minutes on the phone she figured out they decided to refund my return when I specifically filled out the form for exchange and told the 1st person who also was very nice but not knowledgeable I just wanted the next size up. This all took 1 month and 3 days. Come on.

My old Teva were great, front strap very forward, stylish stitching. I can't fathom why I can't replace them.
