I bought these for my husband who works all day on his feet and out in the elements. These boots are waterproof! He is required to wear steel toed because of his job working on Semi trucks. He really loves the look and feel of these which says a lot because he's extremely picky about his work boots. Our only worry is the plastic pieces that you lace your boots up with. Hopefully they can take the abuse!

I initially ordered the Vasque Talus boots after trying them on in a store over the weekend. When I received the Talus, they were a bit narrow and they seemed to have a little too much "fluff" in the tongue. Otherwise, they are a great looking boot. I called customer service and spoke with Jacqueline. She was extremely helpful in processing an exchange for the St. Elias. Honestly, it was the best exchange transaction I've ever had online. Thanks Jacqueline! The difference in quality of the St. Elias boot is very noticeable. The leather and gore-tex tongue make a huge difference. This boot looks sharp. The comfort level is high. I actually still have them on right now while I am working at my desk, lol. I wanted to write a review to help anyone who may be deciding between these and the Talus. St. Elias is the way to go.

These boots have always been “ok”. But they are already starting to break down and I have only had them 10 months. For $200 bucks I would expect them to stand up better. I wouldn’t buy them again.

Have been wearing Vasque products for over 40 years. They just fit my feet well. This is about the 4th pair of St. Elias. I used to not have any significant break-in time, but now at 70 it takes a little bit longer as feet are more sensitive.

The toe-box is much to tight. I tried going up half a size but then the arch too far forward and they made my feet ache. I unfortunately had to return the boots which is a shame because they appear to be a very well constructed boot otherwise.

Fit true to size, very comfortable. Needed put in a more supportive insole for my high arches.

Like sneakers (trainers) I go up a half to a full-size in hiking boots. These are no exception. My dress shoes are 9 1/2, hiking & trainers 10 1/2. Maybe you have the same experience. You gotta know your own feet. Just arrived today and they were on my feet as soon as I got them out of the box. They're comfortable and good looking. I'll know more after I've had them out for a walk with the dog later on. They're a little heavier than my Asolo's but I don't anticipate that being a problem. First impressions are that I'm going to be quite happy.

Looks good, feels even better. These boots are rugged and well made yet at the same time light weight and super comfortable. Almost no break in time needed, I went for a two mile hike right out of the box and they felt like I'd used them for a year or two. I highly recommend these Vasques.

Great hiking boot. Feels good all day. I wish the soles would last longer.
