I ordered these purely on the look, attracted to the fact that they looked more like a sneaker than a heavy duty hiking boot. I ended up very pleased with the purchase. Hiked in Kauai on muddy, slippery trails and they provided great support and comfort and traction. They are so lightweight and have a wonderous cushioning in the sole. I am usually 8.5 and ordered that and 9. I kept the 9s to allow space for thicker socks.

This is an attractive, lightweight hiking boot, however, I had to return them because the left boot hit my ankle bone in the wrong spot and it was uncomfortable. They are good for day hikes but not for carrying a heavy backpack. I wear a 7 narrow in street shoes and the 7.5 just fit.

I really wanted to like them because they are cute and have a high ankle but there were two areas that hurt my feet. One of the ankles hurt in the area where the lace eyelit thing. The other problem was that they hurt the outer, lateral part of the sole of my foot. Never experienced this before in a shoe.

My street shoe size is 7/12 or sometimes 8. I have narrow heels and medium width on the toe end. I also have high arches with one very unstable ankle. I did my research and learned these Vasque boots are about as light as ankle boots come. That was appealing because the longer the hike the heavier your boots seem. I bought the lightest color and not only do they hide dust, but they make my legs look less like tree trunks. Great arch and ankle support and no breaking in period needed. We are off to the Rockies next week! If you have Hobbit feet, these are the boots for you!

I ordered a size 9.5 and a 10 in the dark gray/blue color - the 10 fit great but there was a spot rubbing on my left ankle bone. I returned both pairs, and ordered a 10 in the dark brown/green just to see if it would work, since I loved the boots other than that one sore spot - and I’m so glad I did, they’re perfect!! Excellent tread, lightweight, good toe box room, super comfy, decent arch support, and my heels don’t slip at all. These will be great for the walking/light hiking I tend to do. Thank you Zappos for the ease of ordering and returns! I usually wear size 9 or 9.5, but needed the 10 in this style.

I ordered as if I were ordering a running shoe, a half size larger than usual. It seems that my size 7 foot has grown into a 7.5 over the years so I ordered an 8 in this shoe and it fit great. Enough wiggle room in the toes for extra exertion on the trails. I recently sprained my ankle and I wanted a high top shoe to give me some support as I am about to go on a trip to a mountainous area to do some photography. This will fit the bill just fine. It is flexible in the toe area for bending and supportive for my ankle. Super comfortable.

I am an 8 in regular shoes and ended up getting these in a 9.5. They are extremely comfortable and stylish.

I like the design features and color of these shoes; however, they are a little too narrow for the shape of my foot. I walk a ton for work and found that I need a larger toe box to keep my feet happy. Wish these had just a little wider foundation.

They run a bit narrow, otherwise a great bad weather shoe/boot

Perfect fit, support and comfort for my feet that have multiple issues. I want Vasque to make street shoes so I can wear them everyday. Expensive, but worth it.

I really like these boots, but they definitely run small. I'm an 8 in regular shoes, so I often buy 8.5 or 9s for boots and running sneakers, but I needed a 9.5 in this boot. My daughter is a 7.5 foot and she's wearing the 9.

I have a low volume, high arch, but wider than average (more than a B less than a W!) and while i was able to get them on, there is no way there were going further than the across the room. Unfortunate, because i liked the way they encased my foot (so many boots don't lace down enough for my skinny by wider foot. But the were so narrow, i think the front of my foot wasn't laying flat in the boot. Sigh.

Really wanted to love these but SO PINCHY! I have had Vasques before and was excited to update my boots, esp since these are also animal-free, but they have to go back. They just don't fit nicely or confortably.

I'm forever on a quest to find great hiking shoes/boots for Hawaii's muddy, slippery, stream crossy hiking trails, and this boot makes it into the very small winner's circle. It's super lightweight for longer trails, grippy on slick rock, tree roots, and mud, waterproof enough to walk through low streams, and breathable enough to keep my feel from overheating. I might even take it on a short backpacking trip if I'm not carrying much, but for the most part these are perfect and supportive day hikers for the tropics. I had some trouble with sizing, even though I've worn tons of pairs of Vasque boots in the past. I wear a 9.5 M normally, sizing up to a 10 in Vasque, but in these the 9.5 W was the ticket. So if you're finding the medium width shoe is still too narrow for you, you might want to try on a wide if you can find it!

These shoes are very comfortable. I usually take a 9 and got a 9.5 and they fit perfectly. My foot is relatively narrow - if you have a wide foot I'm not sure how well they'd fit. Great support for high arches. They are warm, waterproof, and breathable.

I bought these boots for my wife and she feels they are her best hikers ever. Light, really good traction, very comfortable.

These are great. I have narrow feet and bought them for a trip to Iceland. They didn't need much breaking in at all. I invested in good Woolrich socks and think things are good to go. That's not always easy for feet like mine.

Ordered 1/2 size up and fit was perfect. Took long walk upon first wearing, and they were incredibly comfortable.

They have more of a athletic shoe look. They fun small. I would say go up 1 full size.

I went with the 9, since based on a volumental scan, one foot is an 8.5 and one is a 9, but I feel like I could’ve done a 9.5. Shoes were overall comfortable, and I didn’t get any blisters even after hiking 6 miles in Zion in 90 degrees heat & getting wet. The toe box felt pretty snug, but maybe that’s for the best. They did NOT drain water well at all, so my feet remained soaked after wearing in water. They are super stylish and great for narrow heels.

It was very lightweight almost like a athletic shoe and I felt wouldn't be rugged enough for hiking.

Ordered 1/2 size up and fit great, but footbed has a strange shape to it - your foot sits with a slightly Negative heel, and in my experience, I can’t wear shoes like that b/c it hurts my knees/hips from being in a rocked back position. Overall very cute super lightweight and otherwise comfy boot though.

i bought these for my adult granddaughter, but she said they hurt her around the ankle. Sorry! They look like very nice shoes.
