Gone is the lovely arch support of Vasque leather boots of the past. Gone is the thick, stiff sole so great for hiking over rocky trails and balancing on narrow foot holds. You will now feel the rocks through the thinner sole. And, there is too much fabric on the inner surface of the tongue, making painfully irritating ridges which rub the foot when you lace the boot. These boots look nice, but are not built for serious hiking, and so are greatlly overpriced. Sent them back.

I’ve been wearing Vasque boots for 22 years and until the previous pair of boots I’ve purchased, I’ve been very satisfied with Vasque. Fortunately, Vasque went back to their previous sizing! I wear a size 8, Wide and as the description states, they are comfortable right out of the box. My first outing with my new boots was a 3.5 mile hike with my dog - comfortable for the entire hike! I’ve warn them for two all day events this week and they worked out great!

After wearing just a few minutes, my feet were tired. I can see how others have said you feel rocks under your feet. The sole seems very thin.

I normally wear 7W and bought these in 7.5W. After two years of hiking and backpacking these have become my all time favorite waterproof, leather, heavy duty boots. I have had these boots from Zion, Death Valley. Bryce, Smokies, Shenandoah, ANF and MNF and a handful of State Parks. I have not experienced the thin soles others mentioned (I've been on some very rocky trails MNF) but they always had a squeak up until my last trip. I had 36 hours of nonstop rain and everything was soggy at the end, including my boots. Squeaking stopped though.
They had a slight break in period and while I haven't done so yet, I usually tell myself I should drop different insoles in them. After two years they are still I'm good shape.

Loved these hiking boots but they run narrow and had to return. Tried different ways of lacing them up but no way around the tightness.
