Fit great for active 8 year old

I usually buy this sandals almost every summer for my daughter(once she wore even two seasons the same sandals), she loves them, they very comfortable. But this year insole of right sandal worn out less then for a month(she never put them in water), we never had experience like this. I am very disappointed, quality got bad. I am also going to write to Stride Rite about this issue.

Actually extra wide width! Comfortable and really nice quality.

My daughter loves the cushy feeling walking around, and we love the stylish look that can make a dress look special, but also be comfy to walk around in for awhile. Wish they had more styles come out with this footbed for kids!

I just purchased this shoe for the third time! My daughter LOVES these shoes and they are perfect each summer for formal events and weekly church services. They are true to size for a sandal. She is always 1/2 size smaller in these shoes than her Stride Rite sneaker size. No complaints of the shoe rubbing. We buy the regular width even though she sometimes wears a wide in Stride Rite sneakers. She has a high instep and these are perfect. Clean up well, and no slippery soles to deal with. Home run!

Great summer shoes for kids. Prevents toes from getting chewed up while playing/ biking/ scootering.

3rd year getting these shoes for my daughter. She loves them and they are closed toe for school/camp. Unfortunately this is the last year we can buy them. She'll outgrow the kids sizes by next summer.

Great for my daughter. “Covers the entire foot” she has a slender foot and this style stays on and supports her feet way better than others. We’ve searched and searched and tried to find styles and brands that fit her and this is one of the few, especially at this price point :)

could have use a 2 XW rather than a 2 1/2 Stride Rite seems to run a little large compared to other brands. Wish you had more XW sizes to choose from.

I have purchased this same sandal for many years for my daughters. It is hard to find a dressy sandal that is not completely flat. They like to run around after church, and I like the fact that they can do that and not stub toes or fall out of their shoes. These are nicely padded underneath and the backstrap is also padded at the heel. The sizing was tricky, as this fit in a full size down than her normal Stride Rite sneakers. She is also a wide in the sneakers, but a regular in this shoe. Eternally thankful for Zappos and their wonderful customer service. Have been shopping here for 14 years!

My 5 year old loves these.,They are so comfortable that she chooses to wear these whenever she can. I love the Velcro strap that looks like a buckle but is so easy to put on. They wear well too!

Our daughter loves these sandals. She can put them on by herself, which gives her some independence (she likes that). A previous pair (exact same sandal) from last year did give her a blister on her achilles tendon where the strap rubbed after a long walk. So far (fingers crossed) no blister issue this year. We really like that Stride Rite makes closed toed sandals in big girl sizes.

Third Summer buying these sandals. Excellent quality and hold up well. Good grip on soles and velcro strap closure.

I bought this shoe for my daughter because the Stride Rite Millie Wide was a little tight width wise and I thought going to the XW in this shoe would be perfect. Unfortunately, my daughter's foot wouldn't even slide all the way into this shoe. It seems narrower than a regular XW shoe. I returned it and am keeping the Millie.

Defective across the top toe strap. You can not pull the top strap through the middle loop. And they were gigantic.
