Fell apart after 5 days, rubber on toe split apart. Very heavy shoe and not comfortable.

My son's review. Very tight against top of his foot, to him it was a size smaller than the Puma brand we kept at same size. Going back.

This shoe is great. I ordered the regular size for my 6 year old...and order the wide width for my oldest child. If the shoe's Velcro would reach over to cover the other part of the fasten...I think it would be an awesome shoe. It is wide width...put the straps are not long enough...and if I tighten the straps...my son will say it's too tight...

Wonderful Shoe for my 5 year old. Great Quality and the fit is good for a wide foot with a high arch. I buy two pairs per year and it gets him through the school year. This is great for a uniform shoe as it has great support and it like a tennis shoe but doubles as a school uniform shoe as it is all black.

My little one is very active, like most kids. This is a solid shoe. I only purchase new pairs to accommodate normal growth. They run about 1/2 size larger than his New Balance tennis shoes. They stand up to Kindergarten antics and the washing machine. I miss the Stride Rite storefronts, but am happy to see a presence on the Zappos site.

These sneakers did the trick for all white sneakers as part of a school gym and spring uniform. I did order a wide for my child and the velcro strap does not go all the way across the velcro strip. It does not make the shoe uncomfortable, just looks off. I did get in multiple sizes, so I am hoping this is just a fluke. The material on one small side of the sneaker wore out very quickly. Again, hoping that is a fluke. I got multiple sizes, so I have them on hand for when the next size is needed and I do not have to make finding a white pair of sneakers in wide a project.

Fits perfectly and I usually have problems getting shoes for my son .. his feet are pretty wide .

My child loved the comfort of these vs 5 other pairs of all black sneakers for her uniform. However she did need them in a wide and i dont think she even has wide feet - fyi.

Nothing snazzy about them but good with school uniform and always a win when the kiddo’s initial conclusion is, “wow, these are so comfy, it’s like I’m walking on pillows!” ?

The shoes are pretty much as they were described. I bought them for myself, as I have some problems with my feet and cannot were regular women shoes. Those from boys are more comfortable for me. I was glad that I found extra wide.

My 7-yo loved these shoes; he has wide feet and said these are super comfy, and FAST! He was especially excited that they had velcro tabs for quick on and off. If my boy is happy with these, yours will be too!

Fit is great! Good quality shoe for my rough & tumble kiddo.

This shoe is amazing. On and off with no extra help, and they last forever. I purchase a new pair every 6 monthes. Alternating Black and White shoe colors. Great shoe.

Reliable school shoe, second year. Love Stride Rite!

Trying to find a shoe for AFO's and wide feet are nearly an impossible task most times and although some brands work for someone it doesnt mean it works for all and this was our experience with these stride's. We were hoping they'd fit but we couldn't even get them on. :(

Bought these as school sneakers, as they require all black sneakers and there isn't much choice. The size is ok, but the tongue of these shoes seems to be too rigid / hard. After wearing these for a day, my son came home limping because the upper part of his foot hurt from the rigid tongue. We will give it a try one more time, and will unfortunately have to toss them if they don't soften. They look nice and like that they are all leather, but I can't have my kid limping (and wouldn't donate them so someone else's child would be limping).
