The Keen Moxie is, from what I've seen, possibly replacing the Whisper. We tried two sizes of the Moxie and found them to be a full size larger than the Keen Newport H2 and Keen Whisper. My daughter ultimately chose the Whisper (slightly lighter than the Newport H2, good arch support, could tighten the shoe around her foot like all Keen shoes). The Moxie was ruled out by the adults because it looked odd on her foot (too long and narrow) and had no arch support (unlike other Keen shoes we've had before). The positives for the Moxie: it's incredibly lightweight (flexible if you like that), it's sparkly, and it comes in some nice colors that could transition from play to dressier if needed. Moxie has no velcro and no side-to-side wiggle room (which is good usually), but also had no noticeable footbed arch support (the sole was soft enough, it was just flat with some designs on it). For bulk comparison: Newport H2 is the bulkiest, then Whisper, then Moxie. For size comparison across the Keen models, we found the Moxie to be "off" from the other Keen Kids shoes we tried. My daughter would need a 2 in Newport and Whisper, but even a 1 in Moxie was long. It is possible that the sizing for Moxie actually compares better to other shoe sizes (like Asics), but it's larger when compared to other Keen sandals we've used for her.

No arch support! I purchased this for my daughter to replace the Keen Whisper she had loved, but outgrown. I saw some reviews where people said they chose this model when they had worn Whispers in the past (which have been discontinued), so I was hopeful. Unfortunately, this sandal has no arch support and is not a good option for an everyday shoe - she found it really uncomfortable. I am going to have to look for other brands for her to wear now. She has not been a fan of the typical Keen because it is big and clunky. The Whisper and this Moxie model are more streamlined and have a lighter look. With the Whisper gone and this one having a flat inner shoe like a cheap flip flop...Keens are no longer a go to sandal for us!

These are great for my daughter who has narrow feet. Most sandals of this style are enormous on her, but these are perfect. Great as water shoes, too. Wear almost like sneakers but don't need socks and can get wet. Wash really well also. Second summer we have bought them!

These shoes are garbage. We buy Keen Seacamps every year for our kids, and they are incredible shoes - rugged yet lightweight, very durable, and wash beautifully. My 9-year-old daughter wanted these this year because she thought they were pretty. They are pretty - though they felt flimsier than the others - but within two months, the soles were almost completely worn through in places and had actually cracked apart on the side near the toe box, the leather pads around the shoes had come unstitched in multiple places, and the whole shoe was just totally ragged. And those two months were of her wearing them daily to school only, before summer adventures even began. Yet these cost even more than the Seacamps! I’ve never been so disappointed in a shoe’s performance. We had to abandon these and buy her a new pair of Seacamps again instead. *Side note: I also bought these for my 1-year-old girl. They are adorable and perfect, but she hardly wears them due to her age. I wouldn’t buy them for her even next year, as I’m sure she’ll be much more active outdoors as she grows, and I have no confidence in their durability.

I love wearing these shoes! They are the only shoes that I really wear. I like that there is no velcro. The shoes are still supportive but have holes in them to let air in. -Mira, age 9

My 10 year old loves these for summer. they are cool and comfortable.

My daughter has narrow, low-volume feet. The Moxie is a great fit for her; other Keen styles are often too roomy. She likes the Blue vapor/Mist color. She has already worn them for 2 days at Disney — no complaints— and will gets lots of use out of them this summer.

It wouldn't be summer without Keen sandals. Well made, sturdy and attractive.

This is the second pair of Moxie sandals I have bought for my daughter. She has a normal width foot with a narrow ankle, and we have found that this style fits her better than other Keen sandals. They are great shoes for all kinds of outdoor activities--she has worn them hiking, to the water park, and as a cooler alternative to sneakers in the summer.

Great shoe! Highly recommend! My three kids and husband enjoy Keens!

This is my daughter’s second pair of Moxies, though probably her 8th or 9th pair of Keens. She chose (and I approved) this color because it’s relatively subdued enough to work with play dresses without screaming “sport sandals” so it’s a good compromise for when she wants sneakers and I want proper sandals. The shoes are relatively flat, but she wore her last Moxies every single day last summer and never had any comfort issues. This shoe is sadly not immune to the Keens Kurse of the Stinky Soles, but at least they’re easily scrubbed out and/or run through washer, and will generally dry overnight. The color can pass as a light lavender, light baby blue, or silver, depending on what outfit the shoe is paired with, so that’s handy as well. The only observation I’d offer is that with the last several pairs of girls Keens we’ve purchased, the standard “buy one size smaller in Keens than you normally wear in other shoes” seems to be evolving... these (and the last few girls pairs we’ve bought) seem to be more like a half-size smaller than her usual shoe size. All in all, another great pair of Keens!

These are darling shoes and remarkably normal width for Keens! However, my young daughter could not put them on and off by herself because they don't have a strap. They fit well in width and length once they were on her foot, but there's no way I'm spending the summer struggling with getting these on and off. My teenage daughter has these shoes and loves them, though.

We returned these - there is very little support. My kids wear their Keen's all summer - paddle boarding, mountain biking, light hikes...we will go back to the other Keens that have more to them...these would be good for something like sailing that doesn't need a lot of support.
