I went to REI and spent hours to no avail. I ordered this pair here (I usually order 5 pairs and hope one is good) and it's perfect for me. I do have a narrow foot for Keens, but it works out ok because I have orthotics for arch support so they fit perfectly with those. i did get a 1/2 size up what many of my trail shoes are. I like that these are water resistant but not so thick and hot as Gore Tex is. I haven't tried on a trail yet so don't know about blisters, etc. They have excellent grip on the bottom. They're sturdy like a hiking boot but lighter and lower, though they aren't light like trail runners. It's a balance between trail shoes and hiking boots.

This Targhee Vent is very well made and true to size but didn't work for my sensitive senior feet. I have bunions, high arches, and narrow heel. Felt pain right away. Got the Circadia Vent instead and they are an excellent fit, supportive, lightweight, and very comfortable. Wearing them around the house for an hour now and still love the fit...not sure about the clunky look yet. :o|

Very comfortable from day one you put these shoes on Very stable walking or hiking

Keen’s comfortable shoe, as always. Great walking, hiking and supportive pair of shoes. Although, these were way to wide the arch felt fine. I just had to pull the laces just about together due to wide width. Disappointed that I had to return them.

Keen you break my heart. I finally have to give up on gluing the soles of my old but awesome 2 identical pair of Keens over and over and find shoes that do everything like they did- walk, hike, festivals, camp whatever. I am crushed. These bottoms feel so hard on my foot, are boxy and too big. I wear a 9 and can get a finger in the heel. I also have one arthritic big toe that needs support and my feet are low volume. Back they go. Boo.

Good support and comfortable.

Loved the shoes until I walked around the house in them for a while. Something near the arch support rubbed my foot. I had to return.

Pretty stiff and a bit floppy because of the shape of the shoe and it is a little loose. Shoelaces are not sturdy. Looks nice.

I adore Keen shoes. I still have an older pair of Targhee Vent. Unfortunately, my heel slips in them when walking. This doesn't happen in my older pair. I am hoping that Keen will fix this problem. I have to return these.

Love everything except there's too much going on right where my ankle bends

Too wide for a medium width shoe. I normally wear a wide shoe. When I tried these on, my first thought that these were a Wide width and I’d need to exchange for medium. But then I realized the shoes were a medium and aren’t even made in wide widths. I tried them with a light cushioned hiking sock which is what I normally wear. I probably could have made them work with my hiking insole and thicker socks but they still felt sloppy around the heel and ankle. Too bad because they are comfortable and offer good support.

The arch support was quite good, but I had to return these due to their stiff material on the tongue and around the ankle. Instead of a nice soft fabric in contact with my skin (I like to wear no-show socks), Keen used a cheap material that was actually abrasive and left dark red marks on my ankles! Not good! The whole shoe felt like it was made with cheapened materials--just not what I'm used to from Keen. I'm afraid quality is going down the tubes, which is terrible because Keen is about the only brand I can wear.

I've been getting KEEN for years because they have been providing me with a strong ankle support and is a rugged shoe. This new one, however, is clearly made of lower quality and less rugged material. But it seems to fit well even as it took a little breaking in to get my orthotics to fit comfotably inside. I'm also not a big fan of this cute little light blue strap thing that loops around it but I didn't have a real choice in looking for something for my feet. I'd like to go back to what they had a couple of years ago. I think if your feet are normal with normal arches then you will like this more than me.

Honestly, this felt clunky made. I have other keen shoes that have fit like a glove, very comfortable right away. These felt like Keen switched manufacturers, and reminded me of a shoe that was a knock off and should be 1/2 the price. I tried on 2 pairs of different Keen shoes, and felt the same way of all of them. What a bummer.

Super stiff!!

Just kinda clunky. I've had this same shoe in the past, perhaps five years ago, but it didn't feel like a brick as this one did. I sent it back.
