My girls live in Keens all summer and part of spring. Keeps their feet safe and perfect for the pool, beach and splash park’s. I feel comfortable having them run in these that they won’t slip and fall. Love keens and been using them since my daughter was in a size 5.

I've been buying Keens for my kids for several years, and this is the first time I've received a pair that is so wide! My daughter's feet were swimming in them, and she has average-width feet. If your child has wide feet, these shoes would probably work for them. We really like Keens for the durability, comfort, and protection they offer, but sadly we had to return these.

A note to hopefully help anyone as confused about the "Little Kid" sizing as I was (since Zappos customer service wasn't any help at all). I purchased the "3 Little Kid" and thought it was weird that that particular size (as well as size 1&2 Little Kid) wasn't actually on Keen's size chart. I kinda assumed that "Little Kid" would be smaller and maybe closer to the sold out toddler sizes than "Big Kid", so I gave it a not-so-optimistic shot. They are definitely the "Big Kid" size that appears on the size chart. Mystery solved! Otherwise, we have these in other, smaller toddler sizes and love them!

My 9yo has wide feet, and she loves these. We use them for the pool, creeking, the beach, etc. She's really sensitive about things rubbing her skin, and she's never complained about these.

I really like this shoe for my son (age 5 now), but it seems bulkier than desired for my daughter (age 10). She went back and forth between this one and the Whisper before finally settling on the Whisper this one last time (I've heard is discontinued). The fit of the Newport was comparable to the Whisper in length. The Newport seemed a little bulkier and weighed a little more. Just for useful comparison, these are a whole size smaller than the Keen Moxie (which are also much narrower, and not to our liking visually this time). So, my daughter could successfully wear a size 2 in Newport H2, Whisper, but needed a size 1 in Moxie and still had lots of toe room at the end. Moxie has no velcro and no side-to-side wiggle room (which is good usually), but also had no noticeable footbed arch support.
I'd also recommend:

For my son, he moved to size 11 in the exact same shoe (same color...blue, of course) and all is well. For my daughter, I tried a size 1 and needed to order size 2 in this shoe. For comparison, the Merrell Hydro water sandal was a full size different (she needed a 1 in this sandal). The sandals are very similar in many ways, including the footbed, velcro, durability, etc. The main differences were size (noted above) and the Merrell shoes don't allow you to cinch up the shoe for narrower feet. My daughter #2 doesn't have narrow feet at all, but those shoes seemed a little wide for her when barefoot. Both are excellent options. Now, to try to get her to choose a shoe so we can get this adventure on the road. When compared to the Whisper model she has had before, they're clunkier. I can't compare sizes at this time, but may be able to do that soon (we're trying Whisper and Moxie next). The comparison to the Seacamps we had last: these are clunkier. The Seacamps, though, retained water in the fabric much longer than others, in my opinion. Great shoes, otherwise.

These were so wide I couldn't believe they were not sent by mistake! My daughter has a normal width foot and these were swimming on her. The style was well made and cute, but definitely for wide feet only. We returned them.

Great shoe. Ordered two sizes larger because of extra wide foot.

I purchased the sandals for my granddaughter. She loves the color. She likes the idea of wearing them to day camp. She can wear them in the water too. They are sturdy enough for climbing.

Run wide. Great for some kids, not so much for others. Had to return to get women's size Keen Clearwater for daughter because they are much narrower.

We love Keens. My ten-year-old loves the color and the fit. Great sneaker-like sandals for summer!

Kids Keen sandals are a well made amphibious shoe. This is the only shoe that my daughter will outgrow before it wears out. My daughter wishes there was a cute feminine camo pattern for girls. But there are many cute color options.

These shoes are much larger than expected. I suggest sizing down a whole size from athletic shoes. My daughter normally wears a 3 in everything but in these shoes, a 3 is HUGE! They are also very wide and my daughter normally wears a medium width and these shoes seemed over-sized, swallowing up her foot even after tightening the strap and velcro. She also thinks they are heavy. I would suggest the Pediped Sahara for skinnier feet. This is what we chose between the two.
